How to collect your seeds
Lately, we, gardeners and tomato growers, have been tormented by a stormy, muddy stream of low-quality seeds, mis-grades and other outrages perpetrated by manufacturing companies. None of the Russian companies producing seeds can boast of the absence of mis-grading. Until recently, “Biotechnika” was praised by everyone, but in 2011 there was a widespread re-grading with their most famous variety - “Mazarin”. Instead of Mazarin, something completely wrong grew; for some, at least they had tasty tomatoes, but for me, something terrible in taste and appearance grew.
It’s a shame, you see, to grow your favorite variety year after year, and then bam - and some unnecessary tops grow instead. And you’ve been poring over it since March, sowing, watering, replanting, fertilizing... This bush has finally occupied such a precious place in the greenhouse!
Well, let's end this angry tirade and move on to a practical issue. Or, in other words, let’s hit low-quality producers by collecting our seeds, let it be worse for them!
In addition to the fact that you know what variety you collected the seeds from and what should grow from them, there is also a significant advantage. The germination rate of your seeds, compared to most store-bought seeds in beautiful bags, is simply excellent and approaches 100%.
Let's figure out how to get your seeds correctly. Although no, not like that. let me tell you how I do it, but decide for yourself whether it’s right or not
