I’ll tell you honestly, dear readers of my channel, that it’s probably time for me to see a psychologist.
You have to somehow treat your addiction to tomatoes, a kind of tomatomania. I noticed an unhealthy passion for collecting and growing different varieties of tomatoes about 5 years ago.
And since then this passion has only flared up. This year I plan to plant at least 50 varieties. There is not enough land, but I plan to try at least 3-5 bushes of each variety.
Every year, a dozen new varieties and hybrids of tomatoes appear in my collection, and there are also varieties of tomatoes that I do not change and plant them from year to year.
These permanent favorites of mine include a hybrid of American selection under the sweet name “Pink Sweetness”, which translated from English means “Pink Sweetness”.
Having planted it in the greenhouse two years ago, I have found a favorite among pink, low-growing tomatoes. This tomato has a lot of advantages and only one drawback is that you cannot collect seeds for sowing.
“Pink Sweetness” is a relatively new hybrid on the pink tomato market; it belongs to the determinate, bushy tomato species. The plant is strong, compact, well leafy.
It can be grown both in greenhouses and in open ground. I plant it in a greenhouse, so I can’t say anything about the behavior of the hybrid when planted in open ground.
The hybrid is relatively early. The period from sowing to ripening is approximately 100 days. If you grow it through seedlings, then 55-65 days after planting in the ground, you will be able to enjoy tomatoes.
The fruits of this tomato are round, relatively large, weighing from 200 to 300 grams.
The tomatoes are deep pink in color, without a green spot on the stalk, have a dense consistency, are amazingly tasty, the flesh is juicy and sweet.
The seeds are very small and are practically not felt when consumed.
The fruits do not crack, have good keeping quality and are very resistant to transportation.
Another attractive thing about this hybrid is that it is resistant to the main types of diseases characteristic of tomatoes and responds well to timely watering and fertilizing.
Last year I planted 6 bushes of these tomatoes in a greenhouse. The harvest was excellent, enough for salads for our family of four.
I have not tried the Pink Sweetness hybrid in conservation. It wasn’t enough, this fresh tomato is very tasty. The tomatoes flew away instantly.
The grandson simply devoured them like apples.
Here the seeds are sold individually and not cheap. This year I bought ten seeds. I decided to plant a little more bushes. The fruits of this tomato are very tasty and attractive.
Very soon, in early February, I will be planting tomato seeds for seedlings. I'm looking forward to this moment.
The seeds have been prepared, containers and soil too. I will choose favorable days for planting according to the lunar calendar and go ahead.
Later I will share with you my method of growing tomato seeds for seedlings.
Good harvests to you, dear gardeners!

Purpose. For the fresh market.
Maturing period. 100 days.
Fetus. The fruits are dense, round, weighing 180-250 grams, and are easily transported. Rich pink color, without a green spot at the stem.
Agricultural technology
Pink unique is grown by seedlings. Seeds are sown around the second ten days of March, but in the southern regions they can be sown a month earlier. Seedlings are sure to dive. Seedlings are suitable for transplanting at the age of two months. In open ground, young plants are planted under light shelters, which are removed when warm weather sets in. The bushes must be tied up after adaptation to the new place. To obtain maximum performance, the variety is formed into 1 - 2 stems. Some vegetable growers leave a larger number of stems - 3 - 4, but this may reduce the weight of the tomatoes, especially in the absence of proper agricultural technology. Stepping is carried out as necessary. The culture requires warmth and good lighting. The soil should be loose and nutritious. Air humidity in protected soil should not exceed 70%, otherwise a favorable environment is created for the development of fungal infections. Soil humidity should be within 80%. The diet should be balanced; the crop will mainly need nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium. Harvesting should be done on time. Towards the end of the growing season, you should pinch the growing point 2 leaves above the topmost flower cluster.
Over the years of cultivation, the Pink Unicum hybrid has earned the respect of not only ordinary vegetable growers. Due to its high commercial qualities, the crop is highly valued on the market, and therefore is considered promising for industrial cultivation. The variety is not too demanding in agricultural technology, but is still capable of showing excellent results. It is especially valued for its large tomatoes with excellent pink color and high taste. A fairly high immunity will significantly reduce the number of chemical treatments. To ensure that the crop does not suffer from blossom end rot, it is necessary to maintain a balance of soil and air moisture. This can be easily done with the correct watering and ventilation schedule. During cultivation, the variety did not have any special complaints from gardeners or farmers. The only drawback is the need to purchase seeds, since second-generation hybrids are no longer able to show excellent characteristics.

Features of cultivation and care
Tomato Pink Unicum can only be propagated using the seedling method. It is worth sowing seeds to obtain seedlings two months before the expected date of planting in a permanent place of growth.
As a rule, seeds begin to be sown in late February or early March . As for growing tomatoes in year-round heated greenhouses, sowing dates may vary slightly (you can sow seeds as early as early February).
In order to ensure good seed germination, they are pre-soaked in a growth stimulator for about 12 hours.
For sowing, you should choose light and fertile soil. For better seedling growth, you should add humus and a little sand to the soil. Prepared seeds are sown in furrows to a depth of 1.5-2 centimeters.
When the first shoots appear, containers with plantings must be exposed to sunlight . There should be at least 12-14 hours of daylight per day, this is the only way the seedlings will grow healthy and strong. When the first 2-3 leaves (real ones) appear, the seedlings must be picked and watered with complex fertilizers.
It is necessary to plant seedlings in a permanent place of growth when they are 55-60 days old. Only strong and strong seedlings are planted. Before planting seedlings, the soil must be well loosened. Wood ash or superphosphate must be added to the wells (about one tablespoon per well).
For good plant development, you should plant no more than 2-3 bushes per square meter. If you plant more, the plants will stretch upward and the number of ovaries will decrease.
Bushes are formed into one or two stems. After 5-7 brushes appear, it is necessary to remove all lateral stepsons. For better development of the ovaries, it is necessary to pinch the top of the central stem. A grown bush must be tied up in a trellis, otherwise it will break under the weight of the fruit. During the season, adult plants need to be fed 2-3 times with complex fertilizers.
Tomato bushes should be watered sparingly as the soil dries.
As a preventive measure against diseases, tomato bushes can be treated with a biological preparation. The bushes are sprayed with insecticides against insects, but only before the fruiting period begins.
