Reviews from gardeners about the Mobile variety
But the second variety (Mobil) grew as always, the seedlings were normal, but not so compact and fat. Now these are also determinant plants, 45–55 cm high. The leaves can be said to be large (up to 50 cm), ordinary, slightly corrugated and the leaf segments are slightly concave downward along their surface. But the fruits turn out slightly elongated, like an egg. I also left 3-4 brushes on the bush, and since I formed them according to the Y pattern, they also stand without a garter, but not so confidently (many have already been tied up).

The fruits have universal uses. There is no need to grow several varieties on the plot at the same time: it is enough to plant only Mobile, and the summer-autumn table will be provided with tomatoes, and in winter you can delight your household with exquisite preserves.
There is no information about the disadvantages of Mobile tomatoes. Reviews from the person who planted them reflect only their positive qualities.
Features of cultivation
Mobile tomatoes are heat-loving and light-loving plants. The most favorable conditions for their cultivation are light, fertile soils. Mobile tomatoes can be grown either using seedlings or by sowing seeds in open ground. Sowing seeds for seedlings occurs at the end of April or at the beginning of May.
They must be immersed in the ground to a depth of about 2-3 centimeters. Before planting, the seeds should be treated with a solution of potassium permanganate and washed with clean water. As soon as at least one full-fledged leaf appears on the seedlings, they need to be picked.
During the entire growth period, seedlings need two or three fertilizing with mineral fertilizers. A week before planting in the ground, start hardening off the seedlings. Planting seedlings in unprotected soil should be done at the age of 55-70 days. The distance between bushes should be 70 centimeters, and between rows - 30 centimeters.
The main measures for caring for these plants are regular watering with warm water, loosening and weeding of the soil, as well as the application of mineral fertilizers. Mobile tomatoes require tying to a support and forming into one stem.
There are a huge number of ways to grow tomato seedlings. We bring to your attention a series of articles on how to do this:
- in twists;
- in two roots;
- in peat tablets;
- without picking;
- using Chinese technology;
- in bottles;
- in peat pots;
- without land.
Hungarian tomato Mobile and folk tests in Russia
Tomato Mobile received its name for its mobility; it tolerates transportation well over long distances and is stored well. Distinctive characteristics of the fruit: thick skin on the outside and tasty pulp inside.
History of the Mobile tomato
This variety is not listed in the State Register of Plants of the Russian Federation and is not zoned for any of its regions. Varieties are tested by amateur gardeners themselves on their plots. Seeds are imported and sent to our country from Ukraine. There Mobile is grown in all regions.
The author of the tomato is the Hungarian agricultural company ZKI Seeds Company, founded in 2004. In total, the company has created more than 200 professional and amateur varieties and hybrids. Mobile is an industrial variety, and in Hungary its plantings occupy significant areas.
The author of the Mobile tomato is the Hungarian company ZKI
In its homeland, Mobile is considered one of the best in its category, suitable for harvesting by combines, resistant to diseases, and its fruits, when processed, provide a high yield of dry matter. The latter means that the tomatoes are fleshy, have a rich taste, contain few seeds and liquid, and are well suited for industrial processing into tomato pastes, ketchups, sauces, and juices.
Description of the variety
Mobile grows as a low determinate bush. Its height does not exceed one meter, usually reaching 60–70 cm. The ripening period is average, according to gardeners’ descriptions – 115–120 days, and according to information on the ZKI website – 130–135 days.
The fruits are set in clusters - up to 10 pieces in each, weighing 120–140 g. Their shape, judging by the photo and description on the author’s website, is flat-round.
The Mobile tomato has a complex (branched) raceme in which up to 10 fruits are formed
Perioada de vegetaţie este de 130–135 zile. Fructele sunt sferice aplatizate de greutatea media de 120–140 g.
Translation: Growing season 130–135 days. The fruits are spherically flattened, with an average weight of 120–140 g.

But on forums and in video reviews, gardeners talk about an elongated, almost plum-shaped shape. In Russia there is no originator and patent holder who would be responsible for the purity of the variety, and there is no official seller of Mobile tomato seeds. Therefore, Russian gardeners can buy from each other or in online stores and grow any other tomato under this name, that is, a fake, a re-sort. The ZKI company itself does not sell seeds at retail.

Features of growing Mobile tomatoes
Start sowing 50–60 days before the expected date of planting in a permanent place. Pre-treat the seeds with a growth stimulant (aloe juice, Epin) and germinate, since there are complaints that they do not germinate well. If the seeds are covered with a colored coating of growth stimulants and fungicides, then they will have to be sown dry. In a warm place (+20… +25 °C) seedlings will appear in 7–10 days.
Caring for Mobile seedlings is no different from traditional:
- When the first true leaves appear, pick them out into separate cups.
- Water with warm, settled water as the top layer of soil dries.
- Feed with complex mineral fertilizer for seedlings or tomatoes. Universal mixtures for vegetables such as BioMaster and Fertika are suitable. Each fertilizer has its own dosage and frequency, indicated in the instructions.
- A week before planting, begin hardening.
Mobile is usually grown in open ground. Planting pattern for this variety: 30–40 cm in a row and 70 cm between rows. Up to 6 bushes can be accommodated per 1 m². First fill the bed with humus or compost (6–8 kg/m²) and wood ash (1 cup per 1 m²).
In warm regions on sandy loam soils, Mobile can be grown using “lazy” technology: without gartering, pinching and even without watering. This variety tolerates heat and drought well. But if it often rains in your region, and the soil is black soil or loam, then you will still have to tie it up or cover the rows with straw. The bushes fall to the ground under the weight of the fruits, the fruits will end up in the dirt, and if they do not rot, they will lose their presentation.
Video: an interesting idea for self-tying tomatoes
In field conditions, Mobile fruits grow small - up to 100 g, but you can grow large tomatoes if:
- water at least once a week;
- feed 1-2 times a month;
- stepson up to the first flower cluster;
- normalize the fruits in the clusters, leaving 5–6 of the largest ovaries in each;
- regulate the number of brushes, leaving 2–5 per bush, depending on the growing region.
Each bunch of Mobile tomato weighs about 1 kg. Knowing how many brushes usually ripen in your region, you can easily calculate the yield of a bush. If you do not have much experience in growing tomatoes, you do not know how many trusses you need to leave, then at the end of summer or early autumn, when the temperature at night is constantly below +15 ° C, tear off all the flower trusses and pinch off all the tops.
To ripen the remaining fruits more quickly, the bushes can be covered with agrofibre at night. When the average daily temperature drops to +10... +11 °C, collect all the tomatoes, even green ones, and ripen them at home.

The combination of all the best qualities in one variety - the Riddle tomato: description of tomatoes and characteristics
Tomato Riddle is a truly unique variety. Combines ultra-early fruit ripening, high yield and good taste. It can be grown both for sale and simply to start enjoying delicious tomatoes in the summer as early as possible.
Height | Landing location | Ripening time | Fruit color | Fruit size | Origin | Fruit shape |
short | Greenhouse, Open ground | Ultra early | Reds | Average | Variety | Round |
Description and characteristics of the variety
Bushes of the Riddle variety are determinate, low-growing and compact. In open ground they reach 50 cm, and in a greenhouse they reach 60 cm. There are very few stepchildren. The first flower raceme develops above the 5-6 leaf, 5-6 ovaries are formed in it.
The fruits ripen in an ultra-short time - they begin to be collected 85-87 days after seed germination. Tomatoes are small, 75-100 g in open ground and 100-110 g in a greenhouse. They are red in color, round in shape with slight ribbing at the stalk. The skin is dense. The pulp is fleshy, juicy and has a pleasant tomato taste.
Tomatoes of the Riddle variety are used for whole-fruit pickling, canning and pickling, for eating fresh and as part of salads, for preparing juices, pastes, sauces and other dishes.
Advantages and disadvantages
- very short ripening period;
- good taste;
- ease of care;
- unpretentiousness;
- the fruits tolerate transportation well and do not crack;
- same size tomatoes.
Minuses:
No significant deficiencies were found.
Features of cultivation and storage
The compact bush does not require pinching. It does not have to be tied to a support.
Up to 6-8 plants should be placed per 1 square meter.
The Riddle variety is suitable for growing both in greenhouses and in open ground.
The harvested crop does not crack or lose its presentation, and can easily be transported over long distances.
Planting and care
Before growing a Riddle tomato, the soil must be fertilized in advance. In the fall, manure is applied to the garden bed, and in the spring, mineral fertilizers are applied: superphosphate, saltpeter and sodium sulfate. They are mixed in equal proportions.
Tomato seeds are sown for seedlings at the end of March.
Self-collected seed must be treated with a solution of potassium permanganate, and then briefly soaked in a solution of a growth stimulator. The soil should be light, but nutritious and well fertilized. It is prepared from the following components:
- garden soil;
- river sand;
- peat;
- a little superphosphate;
- some wood ash.
The prepared mixture is also poured with a solution of potassium permanganate or calcined in an oven. If the seeds and soil were purchased at the store, these procedures are not required.
The grains are buried 1 cm, making the distance between the grooves 2-3 cm
Sprinkle with earth, carefully spray with a spray bottle or water with a spoon. The boxes are covered with film or glass and placed in a warm place until germination - +23-25 degrees
When the sprouts appear, the covering is removed, the boxes are placed on a lighted windowsill and the temperature is reduced to +18 for a week. If daylight hours are short, you need to illuminate the seedlings with a lamp.
When 2 true leaves appear, the seedlings dive.
Bushes can be planted in open ground when the risk of frost has passed. The nights must already be warm, otherwise plant growth will slow down. The soil should warm up to +16 degrees. Two weeks before planting, the bushes need to be hardened off by taking them out into the air during the day.
Water with warm water, preferably in the evenings. The soil is regularly loosened, mulched with hay or straw to prevent drying out, weeds are pulled out and bushes are treated against pests.
Feed the plants 3-5 times per season. The first time - one and a half to two weeks after planting in the ground. For 10 liters of water use 10-20 g of ammonium nitrate. When the tomatoes bloom, add manure with azofoska (20 g of the drug per 10 liters of manure), after which they are watered with mullein solution at intervals of 2 weeks. You can also use inorganic fertilizers - ammonium nitrate (15 g per 10 l of water) and potassium sulfate (25 g per 10 l).

Description of the Zero tomato variety, its characteristics and yield
At the beginning of summer, when the body lacks vitamins, early tomatoes are needed more than ever. Tomato "Zero" is suitable for this purpose; its yield is very high. And relatively small fruits are suitable for any purpose.
Basic ideas about the variety
To avoid mistakes when growing, you need to carefully study the description of the tomato. This information will make it possible to grow a healthy plant, while increasing the yield.
- Determinant.
- Simple inflorescence.
- Ripens in 100-110 days.
- Its height is 60 cm.
- Round shape.
- Yellow color.
- There are 6 cameras, sometimes more.
- Density is low.
- Weight depends on the manufacturer: Sedek 120-160 gr., State Register 230-260 gr.
- It is stored for a long time and can withstand transportation.
How to plant and care for a plant correctly
Suitable for growing in open ground and greenhouses. Seeds for seedlings are planted 60 days before transplanting to a permanent place
It is important to take into account the climatic features of your region
As soon as the 2nd true leaf appears, the seedlings dive. Separate pots are prepared for this. This is necessary so that the plant forms a stronger stem and is ready for replanting.
Timely feeding with growth-stimulating drugs will give the plant strength to develop
It is important not to overdo it, moderation is observed in everything
Up to 7 plants are planted per 1 m2. At the same time, as they grow, they are necessarily formed and tied to supports. Leave 2-3 stems, this will increase the yield.
All other agricultural techniques for care are similar to any other variety.
Diseases characteristic of the species
Tomato varieties need treatment against diseases. Begin from the very beginning of disinfection of seed material. To do this, before planting, they are kept in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Then, as the plants grow, they are treated with chemicals. But only before flowering. Afterwards it is advisable to fight using folk methods.
What are vegetables used for, harvest volume
Zero tomatoes are excellent for dietary nutrition. In addition, they are used for any type of canning. As well as preparing fresh salads, soups and much more. Suitable for marinating as a whole.
The yield of the variety is about 7 kg per 1 m2. Since the variety is resistant to temperature changes, it bears fruit regardless of climatic conditions.
Positive and negative properties of tomatoes
The presence of positive characteristics is decisive for most summer residents when selecting varieties.
- Resistant to temperature changes.
- Productivity.
- Unpretentiousness.
- The fruits do not crack and are stored for a long time.
- Used in dietary and baby food.
Requirement for formation.
The opinion of summer residents regarding the “Zero” tomato variety
Many gardeners provide invaluable assistance to beginners by leaving reviews about species on websites. They share experiences, impressions, give advice and recommendations.
Antonina Valerievna. I planted tomatoes for the first time. I did not regret purchasing this variety. The taste is excellent, if it shows itself well in preparations for the winter, I will definitely plant more.
Growing early tomatoes is necessary, since their consumption compensates for the lack of certain vitamins in the body after winter.
Characteristics and description of tomato Outbreak, agrotechnical cultivation rules
One of the most unpretentious varieties of tomatoes that are suitable for growing in the north is the Flash tomato. It is very attractive to most novice gardeners, since it is a low-growing species.
Advantages and disadvantages
Despite the fact that such plants do not produce the highest yield, they are in demand because they have a lot of positive qualities, primarily the absence of high care requirements. Thus, even with a small investment of effort and labor, you can get a stable harvest of tomatoes.
The second important advantage of this varietal tomato is that short tomatoes can be grown even in greenhouses without taking up space in the greenhouse. For gardeners who live in regions with an unfavorable climate, this is very convenient.
Low varieties of tomatoes are called determinate. This suggests that the bushes have limited growth. Most often, such tomatoes do not stretch more than 1 m. There are also very short plants, the size of which is only 40-50 cm. One of these varieties is the Flash tomato.
This is a low-growing tomato that produces an average amount of fruit with very good taste. If there is enough space on the site to plant a large number of bushes, the Vspishka variety will be an ideal option. It does not require special care, including garters to the support.
Characteristics of the variety
The characteristics and description of the variety indicate that Flash can be called the standard of a determinate tomato. This tomato has bushes about 50 cm high. But when grown in greenhouses, the plant can stretch a little more - up to 60 cm.
The second important quality of this variety is that its fruits ripen very quickly. Tomatoes are formed in clusters early in the plant's development. In sunny weather, their ripening occurs no later than 90 days from the moment of sowing the seeds for seedlings. The Flash variety is recommended to be grown exclusively by seedlings.
Most often, the growth of the bush ends at 5 brushes. As a result, from 1 tomato it is possible to collect up to 2.5 kg of tasty fruits. The plant is quite compact. If you remove the stepson branches, you can place 6 bushes per 1 m². Thus, the yield from 1 m² will be about 15 kg. This is quite a lot for a determinate variety, although the fruitfulness of such tomatoes is significantly inferior to tall indeterminate tomatoes.
Bushes of the Vspishka variety are compact, but with a lot of greenery. The foliage is dark green and very dense. If there are a lot of leaves, you should definitely thin them out. But under no circumstances should greens be completely removed. Otherwise, the plant will spend all its energy creating new leaves, and this will negatively affect the yield and speed of fruit ripening.
Quite a lot of fruits can appear on small bushes. Such plants need to be monitored especially carefully, as they can fall to the ground due to their weight. This will have a bad effect on the tomatoes, which will immediately begin to hurt. To prevent such a development of events, it is necessary to tie up the bushes on which a large number of tomatoes have formed.
Rules of agricultural technology
The Flash variety is considered one of the most unpretentious tomatoes that can be grown even in the northern part of the country. Low bushes rarely get sick and tolerate many weather troubles well. But if the weather is expected to be rainy and cool in the summer, it is worth planting the bushes in a permanent place in the greenhouse. Here, the timing of fruit ripening may be slightly shifted upward, but this way the crop is guaranteed to survive even during summer cold snaps.
This variety, like other varieties of tomatoes, grows well if fed
In addition, it is very important for a tomato to saturate the roots with oxygen, which can be achieved by simply loosening the soil. If you approach agricultural technology issues correctly, you can get a large number of tomatoes from each bush.
The better the plant care, the larger the tomatoes will be.
