"Pinocchio". The most productive indoor variety - from one bush you can get up to 1.5 kg of round, bright red fruits.
Description of the variety
Tomato variety Paradise f1 is a hybrid. It first went on sale in 2009, but this tomato appeared on the markets of our country much later.
Culture is indeterminate. It has constant growth and can reach a height of 2 m, and this must be taken into account when growing tomatoes in greenhouses and greenhouses. For Russian conditions, the manufacturer recommends growing the variety there - this will make it easier to care for the tomato and give a rich harvest.
It is possible to plant these tomatoes in open ground. In this case, the tomato bushes will need more careful care.
A photo of this tall bush clearly demonstrates the characteristics of the variety.
Characteristics
Pink Paradise is a hybrid variety of pink tomato. It is distinguished by excellent taste and large, almost identical fruits, with an average amount of pulp and four chambers.
Tomatoes of this variety are best suited for consumption raw, but they are also used for storing for the winter. Therefore, Pink Paradise tomatoes can be called universal.
The main feature and advantage of the Japanese tomato is its resistance to many pests and diseases. This allows you to reduce the amount of plant processing products and obtain a high-quality and healthy harvest.

From seedling to harvest
It is easier to get an early tomato harvest in a polycarbonate greenhouse. If there is heating in it, seedlings can be planted in March, and the first harvest can be had in May. This is a topic for those who are building a business on greenhouse tomatoes.
For a summer resident for whom tomatoes are a hobby, a vegetable garden is enough. After all, you can grow Pink Bush tomatoes in the ground. In any case, the soil needs to be fertile. Therefore, on the ridge before digging, without sparing, add:
- humus;
- ammophos;
- ammonium nitrate.
If the soil is clayey or heavy, the structure can be improved with sand. It is enough for 0.5 buckets per 1 m². Add one thing to acidic soil in the fall:
- dolomite flour;
- chalk;
- ash.
How to grow seedlings
Growing a hybrid for seedlings is not difficult, but it takes time. It is better to purchase soil for sowing seeds that is ready-made, fertile, loose and with normal acidity. Garden soil may contain viruses and fungi that are dangerous to young tomatoes.
If tomatoes will grow in a greenhouse, sow the seeds in February, in the ground - in March. When calculating the sowing time, remember that the optimal age of tomato seedlings when transplanting is 50-60 days. Overgrown seedlings and seedlings that have not reached the required development take root worse.
Before transplanting tomatoes into the ground, seedlings need to be hardened off. It is better to do this in a greenhouse filled with manure. Cover it with straw mats or film at night and open it during the day.
Landing
The grown seedlings, hardened for a week, are planted on a ridge in the ground (greenhouse) according to the scheme of 4-6 roots per 1 m². Denser planting is not recommended; it can reduce yields and provoke diseases.
Plant seedlings using the transshipment method. Water the tomatoes generously after filling the holes and compacting the soil around the roots. Mulch the soil with humus and do not water or loosen it for 10 days.
Care
In the future, summer care for the Japanese rose-fruited hybrid will consist of the usual work:
- Watering 1-2 times a week.
- Loosening the soil after each watering.
- Application of fertilizers foliar, root.
- Bush garter.
Care is not difficult, and you can get an excellent harvest of pink tomatoes. Photos of bushes sprinkled with smooth, beautiful tomatoes are proof of this.
Growing seedlings
If you decide not to buy ready-made seedlings from experienced gardeners, but to grow bushes from seeds yourself, learn the basic rules for such work. High-quality seedlings are the key to a healthy plant and a rich harvest.
The seedlings are sown at the end of February. Experienced gardeners advise doing this according to the lunar calendar.
Preparing the seeds
Before you start working with seeds, make sure that their expiration date has not expired - old material has low germination rates.
Seed preparation:
- Sort out the planting material. Discard damaged seeds covered with mold and fungus.
- There is no need to disinfect seeds. The manufacturer carries out all the necessary manipulations to protect the material from disease.
- To speed up seed germination and increase their germination capacity, treat them with a growth stimulator. The material is soaked in a special liquid (for example, Epin) for 12 hours.
- After soaking, remove any seeds that float to the surface. The chances of them germinating are low.
Selecting container and soil
The choice of container for germinating seeds is not very important. For these purposes, it is most convenient to use long plastic trays or wooden boxes. Some gardeners plant seedlings in cut-off five-liter bottles or juice packaging.
When the seedlings germinate, each plant is planted in individual containers. For these purposes, it is better to use small peat pots, disposable cups, etc.
To grow seedlings you need a properly prepared soil mixture.
There are two ways to prepare it:
- Purchase the ready-made mixture at a specialty store. Such soil has an ideal composition, including the substances necessary for the full development of seedlings.
- Preparing the soil yourself is a more budget-friendly and reliable option. To make fertile soil, mix two parts peat with one part turf soil and one part humus. You can add ash and a little superphosphate to this mixture.
Both purchased and homemade soil may contain insects and bacteria that are dangerous to seedlings. Therefore, before use, the soil must be treated with a light pink solution of potassium permanganate.
Sowing seeds
The seeds are planted in a large container. They are buried 1.5 cm into the ground.
The top of the seedlings is covered with film. The container is placed in a place well illuminated by sunlight, for example, on a windowsill. The optimal temperature for growing is +25 degrees.
To avoid moisture stagnation, seedlings must be ventilated regularly. To do this, it is enough to open the film for several hours in the warm time of the day.
Rules for growing seedlings
The germination of seeds and the health of the plants depend on the correct care of seedlings. There are several important rules for picking tomatoes.
Rules for growing seedlings:
The soil is moistened as it dries, always through a spray bottle.
It is important to use water at room temperature. It is necessary to constantly maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels for plants. When real leaves appear on the tomatoes, they are planted in individual pots. It is better to use peat containers. When the transplanted plants take root, feed them with complex fertilizers. Seedlings in separate pots are watered from a watering can. The frequency of watering depends on how quickly the soil dries out. Two weeks before planting seedlings in open ground or a greenhouse, it is necessary to harden them
To do this, pots with plants are placed outside every day during the warmer months. First, the tomatoes are taken out into the fresh air for a couple of hours, then this time is gradually increased.

Diagnosis of POTS
For a doctor to diagnose POTS, a person must have symptoms that last for at least 6 months.
test on an orthostatic table (performed on a special rotary table);
electrocardiogram (ECG);
active orthostatic test (active bench test).
During an ECG, small electrodes are attached to the chest to measure the heart's rhythm. This test is done to rule out other heart problems that may cause POST-like symptoms.
An active test bench is similar to an orthostatic table test. Heart rate and blood pressure will be measured while the person is lying down and after he stands up.
Main characteristics
The hybrid is high-yielding; in terms of fruit ripening, it is mid-early. You can expect the first ripe tomatoes 70 days after germination. The bushes are powerful, tall, and belong to the group of indeterminate type tomatoes.
An important characteristic of any variety is the taste of a ripe tomato; plum-shaped fruits have a harmonious, good taste of the pulp. The fruits are of medium size, the average weight does not exceed 200 g. The manufacturer’s stated weight is 220 g. The fruits are stored well, there are no complaints about loss of presentation during transportation.
Attitude to diseases is expressed by resistance to the following pathogens:
- nematode;
- brown spot;
- mosaic virus;
- silver leaf virus;
- wilt (verticillium, fusarium).
Description - brief instructions for caring for and growing tomatoes from Sakata contains recommendations for forming a bush. In greenhouses, tall tomatoes of the indeterminate type are recommended to be formed into one stem.
During testing, the variety showed a yield of 27.6 kg/sq.m. When grown in a greenhouse and following good agricultural practices, any summer resident can achieve a similar result.
Rose fruits can be consumed raw, for making snacks and salads. The nutritional value of pink pulp increases with heat treatment, so any culinary dishes (soups, sauces) using pink fruits will be healthy. The tomato pulp is quite dense; the fruits can be used in the preparation of canned vegetables.
You can also use pink tomatoes to make tomato juice. The content of useful elements in the juice is increased; the benefits of such juice in the prevention of cancer are undeniable.
Main features
Pink Rise F1 tomatoes are hybrid, so it makes no sense to collect your own seeds from them; you need to buy bags again every year. Genuine seeds are quite expensive, but it more than pays for itself by the end of the season.
Fruit
A remarkable achievement of selection is the intense pink color of the Pink Rise F1 fruits both outside and inside. The glossy skin of the tomato has a pearly sheen. The color is uniform, without a greenish spot at the place where the stalk is attached. The shape of the tomatoes is almost perfectly round, slightly flattened at the top. The surface is smooth, sometimes with small smoothed ribs.
The tomatoes are a little like artificial ones - they are so smooth, almost the same size. Not too large, but not small either - from 180 to 220 grams, with a minimum deviation from the standard weight of 200 grams.
The taste is the best among hybrid tomatoes. Of course, the pulp is not as sugary as that of large-fruited non-hybrid varieties, but very pleasant, with a predominance of sweetness. The consistency is quite dense, but not “rubbery”. Juiciness is moderate. The purpose of tomatoes is mainly salad.
The fruits are not prone to cracking. The elastic skin and strong pulp allow the Pink Rise F1 hybrid to successfully withstand long-term transportation and not rot during storage. This quality is good for personal use and truly invaluable for market sales. Combined with external beauty, the result is an ideal product for trading fresh vegetable products. You can harvest and sell whole clusters; the tomatoes ripen in them at the same time.
Greenhouse bushes
Pink Rise F1 tomato plants stand out for their special quality and powerful leaf apparatus, which works intensively for the harvest. The bush is indeterminate, with continuous growth, without self-limitation in height. It is pinched when the greenhouse ceiling is reached or a month before the end of the season. The stem requires a strong garter. There is no need to attach each tomato bunch separately; there are no creases.
Despite the rather dense bush, the Pink Rise hybrid is able to withstand even a slightly thickened planting - 60x40 cm, but only in greenhouses with an ideal climate - without dampness, with good lighting and ventilation; intensive feeding will also be required. This is more suitable for industrial greenhouses.
Harvest
The description of the hybrid variety Pink Rise F1 in the State Register mentions its yield at 5.3 kg per square meter. As a rule, the actual harvest from such an area is an order of magnitude greater: one and a half to two buckets of tomatoes. They depend little on the weather outside the greenhouse and are stable over the years. This hybrid is valued by many gardeners for such reliability.
In terms of ripening time, Pink Rise F1 belongs to the category of mid-ripening. The ripening of the first fruits begins 95–100 days after emergence. Mass yield of the crop occurs from 115 to 120 days. In a good greenhouse, fruiting can be very long, like other tall tomatoes.
From the photo of the bush and reviews of the Pink Rise F1 tomato, you can understand the reason for its popularity among amateur vegetable growers: the plants are hung with spectacular fruits. Having tested this hybrid, greenhouse owners are satisfied with both the quantity and quality of tomatoes. However, it is rightly noted that a decent tomato harvest is a consequence of proper care (regular feeding, watering, pinching).
Growing highlights
For this purpose, a nutritious and light soil mixture is prepared, preferably a mixture of garden and turf soil with the addition of humus.
Seeds are not disinfected, but treating them with a growth stimulant will not hurt. Why the material is soaked in liquid for 10-12 hours. Seeds embedded in the soil 1.5 cm are insulated with film on top. The optimal temperature for seed germination is +25 degrees. The germinated seedlings are moved to a windowsill with bright lighting. Water in moderation as the soil dries out using a spray bottle. When the first true leaves appear, the seedlings are planted in individual peat-humus pots. After transplantation, the plant is fed with a solution of complex fertilizers.
Tomato seedlings are planted in a greenhouse or in the ground under cover in the last ten days of May, when the soil warms up to +12 degrees. The planting pattern is 40x60 cm. At least 60 cm is left between the bushes. After replanting, the stem of the young seedlings is tied to a wooden support. Watering and fertilizing are carried out 7-10 days after planting.
For the first time, the Pink Paradise tomato is fed with nitrogen, which promotes enhanced growth. Phosphorus-potassium fertilizers are used to set and form fruits. Foliar feeding is also carried out using boric acid. When flowering in the morning, shake the stems a little. So, in self-pollinating tomatoes, fruit set is much more efficient.
Careful pinching is most often done in one stem. The lower leaves along with the shoots are cut off. Overgrown shoots are cut off regularly, which is monitored very carefully. Formation for a bush is mandatory, because you need fruits, not an increase in green mass. After pruning, the bushes are pruned, especially after intensive pruning. Do not water immediately on the same day to avoid infection of the injured areas of the plant with viral, fungal and bacterial pathogens. Water in moderation, but on a regular basis. It is better to pour water into the grooves that are torn around the stem. This way the soil is better saturated with moisture, and the roots of the plant receive the necessary drink.
Characteristics of the variety
The characteristics of the tomato indicate that Pink Solution F1 is an indeterminate plant; it reaches a height of 150 cm. Approximately 2.5 months after the appearance of the first shoots, the tomatoes are fully ripened.
Description of fruits:
- Ripe tomatoes weigh 200-250 g.
- Their skin is smooth and pink.
- There is a slight ribbing near the stalk.
- The shape is slightly elongated, resembling a heart.
- 1 cluster can produce from 3 to 5 fruits.
The manufacturer's description suggests that high yields are ensured provided that the tomato is planted in a greenhouse. If you decide to plant in open ground, there will be a discrepancy with the description of the seed manufacturer.
Resistant varieties
'Ottawa 30', 'Grotto', 'Explosion', 'Dubrava' and 'Yamal 200'. In general, all super-early tomatoes can be called relatively resistant, since they can be harvested before they are affected by late blight. But as for many popular varieties among gardeners, such as 'Novichok', 'Gruntovoy Gribovsky', 'Khurma', 'Stambovy Alpatieva', 'Talalikhin', 'Otradny', 'Yantarny', 'Yellow Plum', they are like They are one of the most susceptible tomatoes to late blight.
Despite the fact that our experience with tomatoes turned out to be, at first glance, very sad, there were still four tomatoes that did not disappoint: most of their fruits did not turn black, but remained healthy. These are 'Pink Magic', 'Indio', 'Gnome' and 'Explosion'. Have a good harvest!
How to grow tomatoes
After the seedlings have grown and are ready to be transplanted into the ground, it is recommended to harden them off. We carry out hardening in stages: first, a few minutes a day (from 10 minutes), and then gradually increase the hardening time to 12 hours.
After this, we move on to planting plants.
Landing
Before planting seedlings, the soil must be well fertilized with organic matter and a mineral complex - such as “Krepysh”, “Nitroammofoska” or “Kemira Lux”. It is recommended to dig up the soil with a large amount of humus and ash, provide it with complex fertilizer and superphosphate, and then cover it with film for 7 days. This way the earth will warm up and be saturated with vitamins.
How exactly to plant plants? Plant 1-2 bushes per 1 m². We make a large hole, plant a sprout, and cover it with wood ash on top. If you plant more, the plants will not have enough light and space later.
After planting the seedlings, the next important stage begins - proper care:
watering once a week at the rate of 0.5 buckets per 1 bush; after watering, you need to ventilate the room where the tomatoes grow; It is important to constantly loosen the soil, but you should not hill up right away; It is necessary to remove the stepsons, otherwise the bush may not withstand the load. It is recommended to leave no more than two stems. We remove the stepsons throughout the development of the plant in the early morning, after watering; You also need to remove excess flower ovaries, leaving no more than four flowers; Be sure to tie up each bush, otherwise it will break under the weight of the harvest
When tying, we use two wires for better stability; Since this variety produces large fruits, the plants need to be fertilized frequently and abundantly (3-4 times per season). After flowering, phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium are well suited; during the growing season - mineral complexes and organic fertilizers

By following these simple rules, you will be rewarded with a bountiful and tasty harvest.
Features of cultivation and possible difficulties
The growing procedure is similar to that usual for most tomatoes, but there are some features:
- It is recommended to water tomatoes only with warm water;
- after watering, be sure to loosen the soil and prevent the formation of a crust on the ground;
- molding and pinching of the bush are required;
- After fruit formation, inspect the bushes daily to avoid stress on the stem with branches and fruits, which could cause it to break.
Diseases and pests
"Pink elephant" is resistant to tomato diseases. However, like any other variety, it is not 100% immune from them, including late blight (the appearance of dark spots on leaves and fruits). If you find signs of this disease, start treatment immediately.
It takes place in 2 stages:
- We fertilize the soil with potassium to avoid re-infection.
- We treat tomatoes with fungicides containing copper. They will heal the plants.
In addition, tomatoes are not immune to insect pests. To prevent their occurrence, experienced farmers advise planting plants between the rows whose smell repels pests.
If they still start, do the following:
- when aphids appear, treat the plants with a solution of soap and water;
- if there are slugs, we collect them manually, after which we treat the plantings with a solution of ammonia and water;
- When spider mites or whiteflies appear, we treat with a decoction of celandine, onion peel or chamomile.
To avoid the appearance of insects or late blight, use preventive measures - this way you can avoid additional problems.
The nuances of growing in open ground and in a greenhouse
The Pink Elephant tomato variety is more suitable for growing in a greenhouse. But some gardeners also grow it in open ground. Let's note some nuances of growing:
- If you decide to grow tomatoes in a greenhouse, remember that pollination difficulties may arise in such conditions. Be sure to ventilate greenhouses, otherwise pollen will clump. Some gardeners pollinate by hand;
- When growing in open ground, the plantings must be covered with film. Pollination in this case occurs naturally.
Growing tomatoes
Cultivation is carried out in the traditional way - through seedlings followed by planting in open ground or a greenhouse.
IMPORTANT: The peculiarity of all first-generation hybrids is their rapid degeneration. Seeds of the second generation almost do not sprout, and the grown plants turn out to be weak and low-yielding
Therefore, it is necessary to update the seed fund annually.
How to prepare seeds?
Seeds of F1 hybrids go on sale completely ready for planting, so they do not need to be disinfected. The only procedure that will not be superfluous is growth stimulation. Seed material is soaked for 12 hours in stimulants: Epin-Extra, Zircon. Treatment shortens the growing season by several days and brings the germination rate to maximum values.
Sowing seed material
Seeds are sown in early to mid-March, 2 months before the intended planting in a permanent place. “Pink Claire” is a heat-loving variety, so there is no need to rush into sowing.
There are no special requirements for containers for seedlings. Any boxes, pots, containers, even trimmed tetrapacks will do. The main thing is that the container is deeper than 5 cm and does not retain water. The soil for seedlings should be light and nutritious. The best option is a mixture of turf, peat and sand in a ratio of 2:2:1. Before planting, the soil is loosened and fertilized with complex products.
When sowing, the seeds are planted 2 cm into the ground, then thoroughly watered and covered with film.
After germination, the film is removed and the seedlings are placed in a well-lit room with a temperature of 20-25*C.
Caring for seedlings involves the following activities:
- Constant watering so that the soil is not dry;
- Fertilizing with complex fertilizers: After the formation of the first true leaf;
- Before planting in the garden;
Picking after the appearance of the second true leaf (5-7 days after emergence).
Rules for planting seedlings
At the time of planting, the soil should be warmed up to 12*C, and the length of daylight hours should exceed 12 hours.
Approximate dates for planting seedlings:
- In the greenhouse - at the end of April - beginning of May;
- To the garden - in the 2-3rd decade of May.
A week before planting, the plants are hardened at a temperature of 18-20*C. Immediately before planting, the soil is spilled with warm water. Plants are planted in holes 15 cm deep. A “nutrient cushion” is placed under each bush in the form of a handful of peat, a handful of humus and a pinch of wood ash.
Recommended planting pattern:
- The disembarkation order is staggered;
- The interval between bushes is from 60 cm;
- Row spacing – from 70 cm;
- The maximum permissible standing density is 3 bushes per 1 sq.m.
Pink Claire bushes grow powerful and spreading, so thickening the plantings can negatively affect the yield, and in addition provoke the development of fungal diseases.
Description of pink tomato Pink Impression and similar hybrids
Seeds of rose-fruited hybrids bred in Japan appeared in Russia several years ago. Tomato Pink Impression F1 and related varieties have already found their admirers among gardeners in central Russia, Siberia and the Far East. A distinctive property of modern tomatoes is their adaptability to different climatic conditions and growing methods.
Hybrids of the Pink series are indeterminate. Plants are characterized by increased elasticity and strength of the stem, which allows them to withstand the load from the mass of rapidly developing and ripening fruits. Hybrids differ from each other in terms of the time of yield of the first harvest, but almost all of them can be classified as early ripening. It is possible to obtain ripe fruits 70-100 days after sowing.
The marking F1 (F 1) in the name of the variety means that this is a hybrid plant obtained by crossing other tomatoes.
It will not be possible to leave the seeds of the hybrid you like for breeding, since the signs of the mother bush will not be preserved next season.
The Pink Top F1 hybrid is considered the earliest: the manufacturer’s description promises fruit ripening already 70-75 days after sowing. Ultra-early tomato is intended for growing in a greenhouse and is recommended for farmers for harvesting early vegetables.
The fruit size is medium. The weight of each tomato is 250-300 g; there are 4-6 identical ovaries on the bunch, which grow and ripen almost simultaneously. The next brush is formed after 4-5 tiers of leaves.
The Pink series also includes other varieties that have the same color characteristics:
- Pink Impression appeared in the State Register of Russia only in 2022, although it was introduced about 10 years ago. Productivity is high: 8-9 kg per bush. Tomatoes weighing 180-250 g are arranged in 5-6 pieces. on each brush. Belongs to the early varieties, bears fruit on 90-100 days.
- Tomato Pink Harvest F1. Average ripening period (about 110 days from the date of sowing). Can be grown in open ground and greenhouses. Up to 5 fruits weighing 200-230 g are formed on the cluster. The total yield is 6-7 kg per plant.
- Tomato Pink Rose. Early ripening (85-90 days before harvest). The weight of the fruit is 250-270 g, 4-6 tomatoes are formed on the bunch. Pink Rose F1 is a universal type tomato. It can be planted both in a greenhouse and in a vegetable garden. The hybrid is resistant to drought and temperature changes.
- Tomato Pink Shine F1. It is considered medium-late (at least 120 days before harvesting the fruits). The variety is suitable for cultivation in open ground and greenhouses, but in the northern regions it is recommended to cultivate only under cover, otherwise the plant does not have time to fully produce its harvest. The weight of 1 tomato is 210-215 g. Under good growing conditions, you can get up to 15 kg of product from 1 m².
- Ultra early tomato Pink Delight. Ripens 70-75 days after sowing. The fruits are smooth, weighing 250 g, collected in clusters of 5-6 pieces. Suitable for open and closed ground.
- Tomato Pink Moon. Universal, early ripening (about 90 days before harvest). Compared to other varieties, it is smaller-fruited and produces tomatoes weighing up to 200 g.
- Along with the hybrids of the Pink series, it also produces a pink cherry variety. It does not have its own name, but meets the same characteristics as other hybrids. Cherry tomato produces long clusters of small fruits (up to 60 g), which ripen at the same time. This is convenient for farming and growing tomatoes for sale, since cherry tomatoes are often harvested with a bunch.
All Pink hybrids are characterized by high sugar content of fruits (up to 6.5-7%). Reviews from vegetable growers note the sweet dessert taste of the fruit. They are used for summer salads and gourmet snacks, and miniature cherry tomatoes can be used to decorate cocktails containing alcohol (gin, rum).
The fruits are suitable for canning as a whole. They are small, round, approximately the same in size, and therefore convenient for placing in jars. The dense consistency of the pulp and hard skin do not allow them to lose their shape during processing. Juice is usually not made from them, since its color will be pale, but tomatoes can be suitable for sauce and lecho because of their excellent taste.
When sowing, seedlings may appear as early as 2-3 days. This must be taken into account when growing seedlings yourself. Sowing seeds must be done 60 days before planting, and for ultra-early seeds this period is reduced to 40-50 days.
The varieties tolerate extreme temperatures and drought in the greenhouse. In the heat and lack of moisture, the fruits acquire a richer taste.
Advantages and disadvantages compared to other varieties
A feature of the Pink Paradise variety can be considered a combination of excellent taste and excellent presentation of the fruit, which is not always combined. Despite the high cost of seeds, this tomato is popular among amateur gardeners; it is also planted for sale. The main advantages of the variety are:
- relative ease of care (except for the mandatory formation of the bush);
- resistance to most diseases;
- excellent taste;
- excellent presentation;
- transportability and long shelf life of fruits;
- no cracking.
Among the disadvantages are the inability to use your own seeds (this is a hybrid), as well as the requirement for qualified formation of the bush. The yield, which some gardeners consider sufficient, is still relatively low for tomatoes that can grow to a height of two meters. However, several years ago Pink Paradise was recognized as one of the best pink tomatoes in the world.
It is difficult to compare the variety with other salad varieties, because their number is now huge. It is worth recognizing that in most respects it is clearly superior to traditional varieties known to us since ancient times. At the same time, among the domestic varieties that bear fruit with pink tomatoes, there are representatives that should not be considered worse than the hybrid in question. And if, for example, pink Ox's Heart has only a good taste, then many varieties (Mikado Pink, Pink Miracle, Pink Flamingo, Pink Andromeda) have excellent taste. However, not all of them are hybrids. Therefore, we must admit that Pink Paradise is not the best among tomatoes of the same type, but it is among the best.
The Pink Flamingo tomato has excellent taste, has a completely different shape, but the same rich pink color
Japanese tomato Pink Paradise - 4 kg of tomatoes per 1 square meter
Pink Paradise tomatoes are a hybrid obtained by Japanese breeders in 2009. It belongs to the greenhouse varieties and does not require much effort in care. Therefore, it is suitable for people who do not like to spend a lot of time in the garden.
Until recently, Paradise seeds were difficult to find and it was considered a rare tomato variety. This is understandable: tomatoes have high yields, juicy and tasty pink fruits and are easy to care for bushes.
Sor belongs to a whole series of hybrid tomatoes Pink and Rose, differing in weight and ripening time: Pink Rise, Pink Paradise, Pink Bush, Pink Dream, Pink Unicum, Roast Beef and others.
The plant grows from 2 meters and above. The stem is strong with many leaves. Therefore, tomatoes will need support and garter. It can be grown in 2 trunks, but it is recommended in 1. The time for the onset of yield depends on this. With 2 stems it slows down for 2 weeks, but there will be more fruit. The flower raceme consists of 6-7 pairs of leaves.
Pink Paradise is a high-yielding variety with an average ripening period. Description of the fruit: deep pink, juicy and medium firm. The weight of one tomato is 150-200 grams. They do not differ in size.
They have a sweet taste, which is great for eating fresh or in salads. It also lends itself well to canning, making purees and juices.
Despite the delicate skin of the fruit, it tolerates transportation well, maintaining its gloss and presentation.
Pink Paradise tomatoes are a greenhouse vegetable, but the ideal place for them to grow is in a light film canopy. Growing experience was also carried out in open ground. The characteristics are slightly lower than greenhouse ones, but much more care will be required.
If planting is done at home, and not in a greenhouse, you should perform the following steps:
- 1. Place the seeds in a box with soil to a depth of 1.5 cm.
- 2. Cover with cellophane or cling film. This will create a greenhouse effect, and seedlings will appear much faster.
- 3. At the landing site, the temperature should be about +25 degrees. But after the first leaves appear, it is recommended to place the box with seedlings in bright sunlight.
- 4. A few days after this, pick each tomato into a separate pot.
- 5. Transplantation into open ground is carried out only after the possibility of frost has been excluded - from the beginning of March, depending on the climatic conditions of the region.
After planting a tomato in the garden, conditions should be created that are as similar as possible to greenhouse conditions:
Cover the bushes with film to create a greenhouse effect. As they grow, the covering material should be raised to give the tomatoes more space. Treat the soil with a fungicide in mid-summer. This will prevent late blight
It is important to carry out the procedure in cloudy weather. Repeat after 14 days. If the summer is very rainy, repeat the procedure every 14 days and stop 2 weeks before harvest.
The rules for caring for Pink Paradise are standard, like any other tomatoes. The only difference is forced pollination. To do this, move the stems during flowering so that the leaves touch each other. Then you will get a rich harvest.
Moderate watering is required. Due to a lack or excess of moisture, the external and taste qualities of the vegetable crop will deteriorate, and the crop will die. Therefore, the soil must always be moist.
A grown bush will need strong support for proper development and growth. It is worth tying the trunk to it. Pinching occurs by cutting one of the stems. Which will increase the size of the yield.
Nitrogen fertilizers should be applied before fruits appear. After their appearance - potassium-phosphorus. And periodically - a growth stimulator in the form of succinic acid.
The advantages of the Pink Paradise hybrid include:
- resistance to changes in climatic conditions;
- high productivity;
- ease of care;
- excellent seed germination;
- sweet taste;
- significant resistance to pests and diseases.
- timely pruning and shaping;
- dies when the temperature drops greatly.
But a large number of tomatoes have these disadvantages.
Paradise is an excellent choice for any gardener. This variety will help you get a generous harvest without much effort. It begins to bear fruit 70-75 days after planting the seedlings. And from 1 sq. m you can harvest almost 4 kg of tomatoes.

Growing and care
Cultivating Pink Paradise tomatoes is no more difficult than growing other varieties with an indeterminate growth type, but is associated with certain inconveniences:
- since this is a hybrid, it is impossible to obtain your own seeds that have all the properties of the mother plant;
- It can be difficult to purchase the necessary planting material due to its unavailability from suppliers;
- the cost of the seeds is quite high; when growing these tomatoes in single copies, it is quite acceptable, but when purchasing seeds in large quantities, the price is high, since these are not the most productive tomatoes;
- gardeners and farmers who constantly work with this hybrid complain that the quality of the seeds offered varies significantly from one manufacturer to another, and even from one supplier depending on the year.
These circumstances must be taken into account, but they do not have a fundamental influence on the choice if the taste of Pink Paradise tomatoes has already been tasted.
Landing
These tomatoes are grown in seedlings. The first harvest can be obtained 130–140 days after germination. Depending on where the tomatoes will be grown: in heated greenhouses, under film shelters or in open ground, the start time of work is calculated. From the moment of planting the seeds to the receipt of seedlings in the desired phase of development, approximately two months pass.
Obtaining seedlings is not particularly special; you should pay attention to a few points:
- The seeds of this hybrid have almost 100% germination, so after soaking they are planted one at a time in seedling cups or cassettes;
- containers for seedlings are filled with nutrient soil for tomatoes, which is spilled with a solution of Fitosporin;
- after planting the seeds, the cassettes are covered with a lid or plastic film to achieve a greenhouse effect;
- after germination, the lid is removed, the seedlings are moved closer to the light: almost all indeterminate plants tend to stretch out, so they are provided with maximum illumination;
- observe the water regime when caring, trying not to overwater or overdry the soil;
- two weeks before the intended planting, the plants begin to harden off; when 5–6 true leaves appear, they are planted in the ground.

To prevent plantings from being damaged by diseases and pests, crop rotation is used on the site. For tomatoes, excellent predecessors are pumpkin and cabbage plants, root vegetables: carrots, beets, radishes, as well as green and salad crops.
Crop rotation is an excellent disease prevention
Tomato planting scheme:
- Layout of seedlings 40x60 cm.
- Before planting tomatoes, install strong trellises or supports, as the bushes need support.
- After planting in the ground, this tomato is led into one or two trunks that need to be tied up.
- In order for the tomatoes to ripen, it is recommended to pinch the shoot above 5-6 brushes, otherwise it may grow above 2 m.
- After the first cluster blooms, all the leaves under it are removed, providing the plantings with better ventilation and lighting. Stepchildren also make sure to clean up.
- weeding and loosening - if weeding and loosening are carried out regularly from the moment the seedlings are planted, the plants will be well lit, the surface layer of the soil will not become compacted and the roots will receive the oxygen necessary for development;
- mulching with peat or freshly cut grass will prevent excessive evaporation of moisture, protect tomato roots from overheating and provide them with a constant supply of organic matter;
- fertilizing - to prevent late blight, you can spray the plantings alternately with solutions of iodine, potassium permanganate and soda, or use a 1% solution of copper sulfate or Bordeaux mixture;
- watering.

Tomato varieties resistant to cladosporiosis
Message from AI » 02/02/2013, 09:45
I propose to collect in this topic our experience in growing varieties resistant to cladosporiosis.
In your messages, please talk only about varieties.
About growing technology, soil preparation, seeds - in the relevant topics - “Tomatoes”. "Late blight", etc. This topic is only about varieties and their properties, for reference purposes; you should not make it too long.
I had to grow the following.
Our Masha F1 (Ilyinichna) - good taste (4), the tomatoes are dense, easy to grow, ripen well, tolerate low light, I’ve been planting them every year for many years;
Centaur, Victoria, Red Comet, Titanic (all F1 from Ilyinichna) - inferior to Our Masha in taste and yield, I tried them once each.
Vezha (Belarus) - tolerant to CS, i.e. does not get sick for a long time, the fruits are smaller than those of Our Masha, the taste is also almost 4.
Delicacy (Allen) - quite stable, fruits are pink, dense, taste 4 points, bush in a greenhouse one meter high, does not like shade, I grow two stems almost every year. According to Allen's director Sheboldaev, his parents include a certain Chinese variety. Productivity is average (for me it’s 3 kg/bush)
Evpator, Funtik (Gavrish) - refused because they are not very tasty
Malika F1 – didn’t like the taste
Space Star F1, like Nasha Masha, turned out to be resistant to cladosporiosis; they have similar transportable, thick-walled fruits; in both varieties, both sugars and acids are present at the beginning of reddening, i.e. taste, but Masha is still a little tastier.
Lemon Boy F1 (Royal Sluis) - Yellow, dense large fruits, taste 4, productive
That's probably all. I haven’t come across any fruits with excellent taste and soft, tender fruits that are resistant to cladosporiosis.

Dear! Yes, it's a sore subject. because I don’t like to spray with chemicals because of cladosporiosis and I haven’t done that.
Giant - the taste is so-so. Fruitful. Good for pasta. Vitador F1 Semko. The taste is still better than store bought. Slightly sweet. Swallow - I tried it once. No taste. But I remember that the leaves were preserved for a long time. Well, of course, Pink Paradise. And the like that I will try. For example, Pink Pioneer, Pink Bush. There is also this Pink Rise. They wrote to me that he is not much different from Pink Paradise. Taste. We need to check with one. But Pink Lady differs in taste, i.e., not as tasty (according to outside reviews)... As for the resistance to cladosporiosis of these latter ones, which I don’t sow, I can’t answer. Etude F1 - taste very good, tomato taste. I have been sowing for a long time. The old seeds remain, I’m trying to sow again and evaluate... Vologda F - good taste, i.e. sweetish. It bears fruit for a long time. Klondike - I don’t remember, but it seems that we are also tolerant of cladosporiosis. It’s just that he was overcome more than others by the whitefly. With her, she removed the leaves from it. It was on him that she especially sat. Business Lady F1 is slightly susceptible to cladosporiosis. A late variety, which will even come in handy. We eat as soon as we close the season. The taste is good. I also grabbed a lot of something else from Ilyinichna, where the package says it is resistant to cladosporiosis. And I try. I'll report back later. Those who grow tomatoes in a greenhouse can answer you. That is, cladosporiosis is the scourge of a greenhouse where the humidity is above 60%. If you type the words tomato for cladosporiosis in Yandex, it gives several varieties - a hybrid. Many grow child varieties on OG, but we don’t know from them.
Planting seedlings
In most Russian regions with fairly cool summers, this tomato is planted using the seedling method.
On a note!
Pink Bush tomato seeds should be sown for seedlings in mid-March, 1-1.5 months before transplanting the seedlings to a permanent location. Depending on the climatic characteristics of a particular region, vegetable growers themselves specify the dates for sowing Pink Bush tomato seeds for seedlings.
Seeds can be planted in ready-made soil mixture purchased in specialized stores. But you can cook it yourself in the autumn. To prepare a nutrient substrate, garden soil, humus and sand (or peat) are mixed in equal parts, and wood flour should also be added as a fertilizer.
Photo of Pink Bush tomato seedlings
Before placing it in containers, such a homemade nutritious substrate must be disinfected: either calcined in the oven for 30 minutes at a temperature of 150 degrees, or spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and left until completely dry.
Then the nutrient soil is scattered into containers and moistened. Seed material is laid out on top and sprinkled with soil mixture to a depth of 1.5-2 cm.
Cover all containers with polyethylene on top and put them in a warm place where the temperature is maintained at about 25 degrees Celsius. The polyethylene is opened slightly every day to ventilate the plantings.
After 6-8 days, friendly shoots appear. The polyethylene must be removed and the containers moved to the windowsill. In the first 7 - 8 days, seedlings should be kept at a daytime temperature of about 16 degrees, and a night temperature of about 13 degrees Celsius.
It takes 10-10.5 hours to illuminate the plants during this period.

Then the room temperature is raised to 21-22 degrees and maintained for the next 30 days.
Important!
After the Pink Bush tomato seedlings have at least 2 true leaves, they should be picked out and each sprout transplanted into a separate container.
During the growth process, seedlings should be regularly watered and fed. Watering is carried out as the top part of the soil dries out. During the growth period, Pink Bush tomato seedlings are fed at least twice. As a top dressing, it is best to use a purchased complex mineral fertilizer for tomato seedlings.
Features of growing Pink Paradise tomato
Growing a Pink Paradise tomato is not difficult; all procedures carried out in this case are quite traditional. Almost throughout the entire territory of our country we have to grow seedlings first, in the spring.
Landing
The time for sowing seeds for seedlings depends on the region and on whether it will be transplanted into a greenhouse or open ground. So, in the middle zone, for growing tomatoes in unprotected soil, the seeds are sown in a box on the 20th of March, for greenhouses - 2-3 weeks earlier. In any case, the seedlings should stay at home for about two months.
Pink Paradise hybrid seeds bought in a store are ready for sowing, so it’s better not to do anything with them; you can sow them dry. Soaking will only speed up the time of emergence by 1–2 days, which is not significant. Tomatoes love picking, so first they are sown in any small box with a soil layer thickness of 5 cm. If the soil is not bought in a store, but is prepared from soil, peat and humus (1: 1: 1), it should be disinfected by spilling it with a pink solution potassium permanganate.
Seeds are first sown in any container of suitable size.
Seeds are sown to a depth of 1.5–2 cm at distances of 3 cm from each other. It is better to cover the box with glass; After 5–8 days at room temperature, shoots will appear, which can withstand several days at 16–18 °C and good lighting. In the future, the seedlings are grown at room temperature, but at night it is advisable to reduce it by several degrees. Seedlings are planted in a large box or individual pots at the age of 10–12 days.
As soon as the first real leaves appear above the cotyledon leaves, the seedlings can be picked
The seedlings are watered moderately for two months. If you use a good soil mixture, you can do without fertilizing. A week and a half before planting in the ground, the seedlings are hardened off, periodically taking them out onto the balcony. At this time, it already has at least 7–8 true leaves, a strong stem, and sometimes even a nascent raceme.
There is no need to ensure that the seedlings are long: the stockier they are, the better.
Tomatoes can be replanted both in a greenhouse and in open ground after the threat of frost has passed and the soil has warmed up to at least 14 °C. The approximate diagram for planting a Pink Paradise tomato is 40 x 60 cm. In a greenhouse, it grows more powerful, so they try to plant seedlings along the wall every 50 cm. The planting technique is the usual: the seedlings are slightly buried (and if they are stretched out, strongly, planted obliquely), watered and mulch the soil. In open ground, it is advisable to build a temporary shelter from spunbond. Immediately drive in stakes about 1.5 m high or equip a trellis for tying up plants.

A real discovery
The real discovery of this season for me was the Pink Magic F1 tomato (a hybrid of the Japanese company Sakata).
In terms of its taste, it surpassed all varieties of raspberry varieties (even the best!) and turned out to be fleshy, sweet, with a perfectly balanced taste! The skin is dense but thin; The fruits do not crack, have a good appearance and lie perfectly. Tomatoes of this variety can be picked at technical ripeness and safely left to ripen until December. It is believed that the yield of this hybrid is average, but I have already harvested from one bush during the season more than 20 kg of beautiful, even and large fruits weighing from 250 g each. The only “but” that should be kept in mind for those who love large-fruited tomatoes: I planted only one plant per 1 m2, although 2 - 3 are recommended.
The bush itself is powerful, the leaves are large - in fact, like the fruits. I grew these tomatoes myself through seedlings, and in my polycarbonate greenhouse they grew up to 2.5 m.
Maintenance in the greenhouse was standard: the soil was mulched with straw, under which drip watering was carried out (every day in the early morning for an hour). Once every 2 weeks I fed it with wood ash. 'Pink Magic' tomatoes go well in salads, but in my family they are eaten plain, cut into slices. They are gorgeous! The taste and aroma of real tomatoes!
Review of tomato Pink
The author of the variety is a well-known agricultural company in Russia. Its specialists created the Pink tomato with the support of the Research Institute of Indoor Vegetable Growing. An application to the variety testing commission was submitted in 2005, and the following year the variety was included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements.
The author of the Pink variety is agro
In addition to Pink from, other Pinks from domestic, Dutch, and Japanese producers are registered and sold in Russia: Pink Bush, Pink Magic, Pink Paradise, Pink Pioneer, Pink Rise, etc. All these are different tomatoes, which have one thing in common - the pink color of ripe fruits.
Many topics have already been created on forums where gardeners compare tomatoes that have the word “Pink” in their names. The variety from "Gavrish", like each of them, has its pros and cons.
Pink was not created for industrial cultivation. It is designed for amateur vegetable growers who value not only tasty, but also beautiful fruits. Thanks to the early ripening of this tomato, your labor costs are reduced, you will have to water and feed less. Pink doesn't need protection from disease.
For the salad
For preparing salads, the early hybrid 'Pink Paradise F1', also raspberry inside and out, but with green seeds, turned out to be an excellent choice. The fruits are incredibly tasty and juicy, but, unlike the previous variety, they are not so large, weighing from 120 to 250 g maximum, and they need to be used quickly: they will not last long.
Description of the variety
The Pink variety has so many advantages that I immediately want to voice its main drawback - its modest yield (3.9–4.4 kg/m²) against the backdrop of a tall bush (1.5 m). For comparison: the average yield of the hybrid Pink Beauty (“Sakata”) is 8.9 kg/m², Chukhloma (“Gavrish”) is 7.9–9.6 kg/m², and the famous White Filling, whose bushes are half as tall, is 4–8 kg/m².
Otherwise, Pink is just a perfect tomato. Specialists from the State Commission for Variety Testing rated its quality and taste as “excellent.” Pink tomatoes are delicious and incomparable in a fresh salad. In addition, Pink is great for winter preparations.
The variety was created for cultivation on personal plots and garden plots under film covers. The fruits ripen 93–96 days after emergence, that is, Pink is an early tomato. Thanks to this property, it avoids late blight and manages to harvest in July - early August. The tomatoes are round, medium-sized - 120-125 g each, unripe ones are colored light green, ripe ones - bright pink without a spot at the stalk. Each cluster bears 6 fruits.
The variety is zoned for the regions of the European part of Russia, but this does not stop gardeners. Pink is grown beyond the Urals in greenhouses and even in open ground. As for the unimpressive productivity, it can be increased by competent agricultural technology. So, the creator of this tomato, if you follow simple rules, promises a yield of 3–4 kg per bush, and there can be 5–6 of them per 1 m2.
Features of cultivation
Pink is grown through seedlings. Sow the seeds in early or mid-April so that the plants are 30–35 days old by the time they are planted in the greenhouse. Disinfection of seeds and soil can be neglected, since the crop will be ready for harvest in the summer, before the period when tomatoes begin to be massively affected by late blight.
Tomato variety Pink is best grown through seedlings
At the stage of the first true leaf, pick up the seedlings. Due to the very short seedling period, you can do without fertilizing at all or apply one a week after picking, but no later than a week before planting in a permanent place. Use special fertilizers for seedlings:
If the sowing was done immediately in a greenhouse or greenhouse, then you can feed it with a natural infusion of nettle, bird droppings or mullein. But the smells of such fertilizers are not suitable for a city apartment.
There are 2 options for preparing for landing:
- A week before planting seedlings, add well-rotted humus or compost to the ground - a bucket per 1 m² - and a glass of ash for the same area. Dig up the soil with fertilizers, level it and water it.
- On the day of planting fertilizer, add a handful of humus and 1 tbsp to each hole. l. ash, you can use special mixtures for tomatoes (Red Giant, Gumi-Omi), mix with soil. Then fill the holes with water, wait until it is absorbed, and start planting.
The layout for Pink is 30x50 cm.
The distance between tomato bushes should be 30 cm
Description of Pink Magic tomatoes, fruit characteristics and pest control
Tomato Pink Magic f1 is a hybrid variety that is distinguished by bright pink tomatoes with a flat-round shape.
What is a Pink Magic tomato?
Characteristics and description of the Pink Magic variety:
- The weight of one fruit is 200-250 g, that is, the tomatoes are quite large.
- The pulp is juicy, fleshy, and has a tart, sweetish taste.
- Tomatoes are used fresh for preparing salads, tomato puree, paste, sauces, ketchups, and gravies.
- The plant is tolerant to temperature changes.
- Productivity is high and does not depend on bad weather conditions.
- The skin of the fruit is dense and does not crack.
- Tomatoes have good transportability and can be stored in boxes for a long time.
Reviews from gardeners who grew Pink Magic tomatoes are mostly positive. They note that if you follow all the rules for planting and caring for these tomatoes, they will give a bountiful harvest.
How are tomatoes grown?
The plant is indeterminate. The main stem is characterized by unlimited growth. In the southern regions or in greenhouses, these tomatoes can be grown for more than a year. During this period, the yield of the Pink Magic variety can reach 50 clusters. Tomatoes need to be shaped, shoots removed from the bush, leaving only one main stem.
After the appearance of 10-12 leaves, an ovary is formed. After every 3 leaves an inflorescence appears. In order for the harvest to be large, the plant must receive a lot of sunlight during its development. In the southern regions, these tomatoes can be grown both in an open garden bed and in a greenhouse.
The plant must be tied to high supports or trellises. In the central regions, it is better to grow tomatoes in a greenhouse. This variety is resistant to various diseases. Tomato seeds sold in stores are treated for prevention with the fungicidal composition Thiram.
To prevent diseases, only healthy sprouts should be planted. It is necessary to plant tomatoes in an area where vegetables and strawberries did not grow before. For prevention, you need to spray the plant with a 5% solution of copper sulfate, Fundazol. A long period of sunlight, timely pinching, and maintaining planting density also protect plants from diseases.
Tomatoes need to be grown in seedlings. Seeds are sown in peat soil 55 days before planting the seedlings in a permanent place. Then the soil is watered and the container with the seedlings is covered with cellophane. The container can be placed in a dark place. After the seedlings appear, the cellophane is removed and the seedlings are taken to a bright place.
The temperature in the room where the sprouts are located should be about +20 ºC. After 2 leaves appear, the seedlings need to be pricked. After 45 days, the seedlings are transplanted to a permanent place. In this case, the soil temperature should be about +16 ºC. Seedlings can be planted in a greenhouse at the age of 35 days, in early April.
The planting pattern is 2-3 bushes per 1 m². The plant must be fertilized with sodium-potassium compounds. In cool weather, the proportion of sodium and potassium should be 1:2. In summer, when dry and hot weather prevails, the proportion of sodium and potassium in plant nutrition compositions should be 1:3. If all the rules of agricultural technology described above for caring for the Pink Magic tomato were followed, then the tomato yield will be high.
