Growing container

5. Plastic pots. Reusable containers with a height of 12–17 cm and a capacity of 0.5–1 liters.
6. Homemade container. Plastic cups, cut-off plastic bottles and milk cartons are suitable. This waste material saves the budget.

Seed preparation

For your own seeds or purchased in bulk, you should do a calibration. To do this, dissolve 1 tbsp in a glass of water. spoon of salt and immerse the seed material in it. Hollow seeds and debris float to the surface and are drained along with the water. The remaining seeds are kept for use. It is also necessary to carry out a disinfection procedure. To do this, the seeds are placed in a 10% solution of potassium permanganate for 20 minutes. Then washed with water. For better germination, they are soaked in stimulants (“Epine”, “Zircon”). 2. 10 days after the first. 10 g of ammonium nitrate, 60 g of superphosphate and 30 g of potassium sulfate are diluted in 10 liters.
3. A week before landing at a permanent place. In a 10-liter container, dissolve 10 g of ammonium nitrate, 50 g of superphosphate and 20 g of potassium sulfate in water.

Instead of these fertilizers, you can use ready-made fertilizer (“Kemira Lux”).

Hardening of seedlings

At least 7–10 days before planting the seedlings, they are hardened. First, the plants are taken outside in warm weather for an hour or two.
