Features of agricultural technology

The best option for growing hybrid racemose tomatoes is the seedling method. It is advisable to adhere to the recommendations of the originator of the culture:

  1. Seeds are sown in March. They are buried to a depth of about 1 cm in compacted soil. Moisten with warm water.
  2. Cover with film.
  3. The container is kept in a warm place (about 24° C).
  4. Picking is carried out when the 2nd pair of true leaves appears. 60-65-day old tomato seedlings are planted in greenhouses or unprotected soil (in the absence of frost). The bushes contain 6-7 leaves and a raceme with a flower ovary.
  5. 4-5 bushes are placed per 1 m², the distance between the rows is 50-60 cm.

The nuances of growing large-fruited tomatoes:

  1. Regular fertilizing with complex fertilizers (twice a month).
  2. Moderate watering.
  3. Formation of a bush into 2 stems, timely removal of emerging stepsons, which contributes to the formation of large fruits.
  4. Preparation of support (in the form of pegs or trellises).

Description of the Shakira hybrid tomato and features of growing the plant

Tomato Shakira f1 was bred by Dutch breeders. Tomatoes are characterized by excellent yield. The plant can be grown in the southern regions of the Russian Federation. Tomatoes have good immunity and resistance to diseases.

What is a Shakira tomato?

Characteristics and description of the variety:

  1. The tomato is mid-early.
  2. The plant is indeterminate.
  3. The bushes grow up to 1.5 m in height.
  4. If you do not pinch the stem, the plant can grow up to 2 m.
  5. Bushes need to be tied to support pegs or trellises.
  6. Tomatoes can be grown both in greenhouse conditions and in an open garden.
  7. The fruits have an excellent sweet and sour taste.
  8. The shape of the tomatoes is flat-round.
  9. The skin is dense and does not crack.
  10. The harvest ripens in 110-115 days.

The main feature of tomatoes is their resistance to diseases such as tobacco mosaic, cladosporiosis, fusarium. Sometimes tomatoes can get late blight. To avoid disease, you need to spray the plants with disinfectant compounds.

Tomato leaves are bright green in color. The root system of plants is well developed. The fruits ripen on clusters, 5-6 tomatoes on each. The fruits are large, one tomato weighs 250-300 g. Ripe fruits have a bright red color. Shakira tomatoes are used fresh, for salads, side dishes, tomato paste and puree, juices, and hot dishes. The fruits of this variety can be salted and pickled.

How are tomatoes grown?

Seeds are planted in early March. You must first prepare containers for planting. They are filled with special soil for seedlings of peppers and tomatoes. The soil is poured into containers 10-12 cm deep. Then furrows are made for sowing. Seeds do not need to be soaked or treated with potassium permanganate

They are carefully buried in the soil in prepared furrows every 2 cm. After sowing, they are sprinkled with soil 1-1.5 cm thick.

Then you need to water the soil with warm water, cover it with cellophane, and place the container with the seedlings in a warm room. Sprouts will form in 5-7 days and will begin to emerge to the surface.

After the shoots appear, the cellophane is removed, the container with the sprouts is placed in a bright place, perhaps on a windowsill. When 2 leaves appear on the shoots, pick. They are planted in peat pots. If there is little sunlight, then you need to turn on fluorescent lamps.

At the beginning of May, when warm weather sets in, the sprouts are transplanted into a greenhouse. After transplanting the plants into the ground, it is necessary to water and loosen the soil. If the seedlings are large, you can immediately install trellises and secure the plants.

When growing tomatoes, they need to be hilled in order for a good root system to form. The first time this is done on the 10th day, the second time on the 20th day.

To increase productivity, bushes are formed into 2 stems. Stepchildren must be removed regularly. When growing tomatoes, they need to be watered periodically, weeded, and loosened. Watering is increased when the first and second ovaries begin to bloom. Twice a month, tomatoes are fertilized with complex compounds.

Reviews from gardeners about the Shakira variety are mostly positive. People note excellent yield, wonderful taste, resistance to diseases. The plant is unpretentious and does not require too much care. Tomatoes have very beautiful large fruits.

Seedlings are planted 1.5–2 months before planting in the ground. The timing is calculated depending on the growing region.

Picking a plant at the stage of appearance of the second full leaf.

Hardening of seedlings is a mandatory process; this will reduce the degree of stress when transplanting into open ground. This is usually done 1–2 weeks before transplantation to a permanent location.

Those who have planted “Krasavchik” tomatoes recommend forming it into one stem. Be sure to remove the stepsons, a garter to the support is required.

When 6 brushes are formed, the growth point should be removed. Leaving 2 sheets above the last brush.

Watering with warm water after sunset, loosening and weeding are mandatory agricultural practices designed to increase the level of yield. Feeding 2-3 times per season. Plant tomatoes at a distance of 50–60 cm from each other.

Tomatoes are resistant to most diseases. Such as:

What are the best early varieties of tomatoes to grow on the plot?

Tomato is a southern crop, accustomed to warmth and hot sun rays. To grow juicy tomatoes in the temperate Russian climate, it is better to rely on the best early-ripening varieties of tomatoes, which have a short growing season - 100-105 days. Such early tomatoes have time to grow and form full-fledged fruits.

Early of the Early

Recently, varieties with even shorter fruit ripening times have been developed. They began to be commonly called ultra-early, super-early or super-early. Here you will need to wait quite a bit. Just two and a half months after the seedlings emerge, the earliest varieties of tomatoes will delight the gardener with the first harvest of tomatoes.

Tomato Jadwiga F1

One of the most prominent representatives of tomatoes with extremely short fruiting periods is Jadwiga F1. The Internet contains a lot of interesting information regarding the super-early hybrid Jadwiga F1. Here reviews of the Jadwiga F1 tomato praise the plant in every possible way. And this is easily explained: the variety is high-yielding, producing fruit even in the most unsuitable conditions.

The ripening period of tomatoes ranges from 80 to 85 days, which also speaks in favor of the variety. The fruits ripen en masse, forming a harvest of large, non-watery vegetables, weighing 200-210 grams each. The pulp is strong, juicy and sweet. Ripened vegetables have good taste and excellent presentation. Round, glossy tomatoes with a bright red color are guaranteed to attract the buyer's attention. In more southern regions the plant can be grown without shelter. In cool climates, it is still advisable to use a “garden under glass”.

Tomato Shady Lady

A fairly common early variety is the Shedi Lady hybrid.

Increased amount of sugar and, as a result, a pleasant honey taste. The variety has no pronounced shortcomings, which is why gardeners love it.

Characteristics and description of the Shedy Lady F1 tomato are distinguished by the following features:

  • a hybrid variety obtained by breeders from Holland;
  • the variety is very early, the first fruits will appear on the plant on the sixty-eighth day after the start of active growth of seedlings;
  • intended for greenhouses, as well as open ground;
  • determinate bush, with limited growth, average plant height - seventy centimeters;
  • well leafy, large bush;
  • high productivity (7.5 kg/sq.m.);
  • drought-resistant variety, has increased immunity to diseases;
  • Removing stepsons is a necessary element of plant care.

The fruits of the Shedi Lady variety are bright red, collected in clusters of 3-4 pieces. Each tomato weighs about 200 grams. The shape resembles a slightly flattened ball. This variety is designed for fresh use, since it is included in the salad group of tomatoes. Shady Lady tomatoes will make wonderful juice, tomato puree, juicy and aromatic salads, and creamy soups (for example, gazpacho).

Tomato Yamal 200

Reviews of the Yamal 200 tomato, which also belongs to varieties with early fruit formation, contain commendable characteristics. The growing season lasts 103-108 days. But it is possible to achieve an earlier yield of the crop - 95-97 days after the seedlings emerge. A greenhouse will help you get these “fast results.”

By the way, thanks to its compact size - 35-40 centimeters in height, the plant is best suited for greenhouse cultivation. In addition, “stocky” bushes do not need to be supported, and they do not require pinching. The main feature of the Yamal 200 variety is the long harvest time. Moreover, the fruits are formed continuously, not paying attention to even the most unexpected vagaries of the weather.

Yamal 200 tomatoes are round, flattened, rich red in color. The weight of tomatoes is average (70-80 grams). The first tomatoes will be larger - about 115 grams. Tomato Yamal 200 is distinguished by the constant production of fruits of standard sizes. The taste of the vegetable is good. The yield is also quite good - about 5 kg/sq.m.

The variety is salad, so it will become an indispensable ingredient in all kinds of salads. But it is quite often used for canning whole tomatoes.

The Dutch hybrid Yaki F1 is a worthy representation of early, low-growing tomatoes. This tomato is designed for growing without greenhouses. Small, stocky bushes with powerful stems do not need to be cut off. The litter is intended for open ground, and is planted with seeds or seedlings. The growing season is 65-70 days. Shows commendable resistance to garden diseases and produces a good harvest. The bushes are literally covered with red tomatoes.

Medium-sized fruits weigh 85-100 grams. The shape is elongated, similar to a plum, which is why this variety is often called “plum”. Numerous reviews of the Yaki F1 tomato claim that it is best to use this variety for canning and making thick tomato paste. But fresh, ripe cream tomatoes will also delight you with their juicy pulp and wonderful aroma.

Tomato Shakira F1

Leaving reviews about the Shakira F1 tomato, domestic farmers express their admiration for the extraordinary fertility of the variety. One square meter planted with Shakira F1 tomatoes produces about nine and a half kilograms of fruit of excellent quality. A mid-early plant of Dutch selection, it grows better in covered soil conditions, but also shows good results when grown without film cover. The bushes are indeterminate, tall, two meters, powerful.

The Shakira F1 variety ensures a good harvest with large fruits. One tomato weighs 300-400 grams, flattened and round, juicy, red in color. The taste is pleasant, the aroma is delicate. Used for any culinary dishes that include tomatoes in the recipe.

Tomato Shiva F1

The Shiva F1 variety is considered a newcomer among early-ripening tomatoes. The fruits have time to ripen within 90 days from the beginning of the growing season. The early ripening of vegetables is also confirmed by reviews of the Shiva F1 tomato on country forums. According to the type of growth, Shiva F1 is a determinate hybrid.

A distinctive feature is long-term fruiting. The fruits are round, intense red, weighing 70-120 grams, universal purpose.

Tomato Sherkhan

An early ripening tomato, Sherkhan, will bear fruit on the ninety-fifth day of vegetative growth. This variety is successfully cultivated in their gardens by many farmers, as evidenced by reviews of the Sherkhan tomato that can be found on the Internet. They note that the plant of the determinate type does not grow above sixty centimeters.

Tomato Fighter

More recently, an early ripening variety for the Ural and Siberian lands has appeared - the Fighter tomato, which is often called “Buyan”. It is grown in covered and uncovered soil. The bushes are low, reaching about half a meter in height. Resistant to diseases. The bright red, plum-shaped fruits weigh from 70 to 180 grams each. Consumed fresh and used for canning.

Tomato Charade

The early-ripening tomato Sharada is part of the determinant group and is grown on open and film-covered plots of land. Elongated fruits weigh on average 80-90 grams. The yield is not bad - about seven kg per 1 sq.m. The fruit's remarkable taste and shape make it the most suitable vegetable for whole-fruit canning, as well as for preparing fresh salads.

Apple saved

A detailed description of the variety and characteristics of the Apple Spas tomato is increasingly found on gardening websites. Although this variety was bred quite recently, it has already earned people's love. Low bushes of determinant growth type reach a height of 50-80 centimeters. They bear red, round fruits weighing 120-150 grams.

The earliest

Determinate tomato The earliest produces a harvest in a short time: 98-102 days after germination of seedlings. The fruits are spherical, red, weighing 200-250 grams, characterized by excellent taste and are suitable for various purposes: fresh cooking, pickling, pickling, freezing, drying.

Brief hybrid assessment

The manufacturer treated the seeds with low temperature plasma. Germination has increased, resistance to the tobacco mosaic virus has increased, and labor costs during cultivation have decreased. This further increased the quality of the product. The characteristics and description of the variety attract gardeners.

Among these varieties, there are about 20 tomatoes that are the most popular and are valued for their high yield, protection from disease, and active development.

Let's take a closer look at the description of the variety and characteristics.

Peculiarities

Shakira tomatoes belong to the mid-early, indeterminate varieties. These are plants that can have a height of up to 1.5 meters, and grow up to 2 meters if the crown is not pinched. To ensure the stability of the stem, it is recommended to tie them to a trellis or stakes. They develop best in greenhouses, but can also be grown in open ground.

The fruits are fleshy, sweet and sour in taste, flat-round in shape, covered with a dense skin that does not crack, and ripen in 110-115 days. One of the most significant characteristics for gardeners is that the variety has good protection against common tomato diseases.

Tomatoes of the Shakira F1 variety do not get sick:

  • tobacco mosaic virus;
  • fusarium;
  • cladosporiosis.

In rare cases, they become ill with late blight, which is most common among tomatoes.

Characteristics

Plants grow up to 1.5 meters high, with large, bright green leaves and a well-developed root system. The fruits of the variety are formed on a cluster; each can contain 5-6 tomatoes. They are quite large in size, weighing between 250-300 grams.

Tomatoes are red when ripe. Excellent for preparing salads, canning and eating fresh.

Growing seedlings

Seedlings are sown in the first ten days of March. To do this, prepare containers with soil intended for growing tomato and pepper seedlings. Soil is poured, about 10-12 cm high, and grooves are drawn.

Seeds of the Shakira F1 variety can not be soaked and treated with potassium permanganate, but carefully laid out on the grooves every 2 cm, covered with soil one to one and a half centimeters. Lightly water with melt water, cover with film, and place in a warm place for germination. After 5-7 days, shoots will begin to appear.

The film must be removed and the box with seedlings placed on the windowsill, closer to the light. After 2 true leaves appear, it is recommended to pick the plants. Tomatoes should be planted in separate pots. If there is not enough light, it is advisable to illuminate it with a lamp.

When more favorable conditions arrive (around the beginning of May), the seedlings are planted in greenhouses. After planting, it is recommended to water and loosen the soil well. If the seedlings are developed and tall, then it is recommended to immediately attach a trellis near each plant.

Useful tips

During plant growth, it is recommended to hill them to form an additional root system. The first time is approximately on the 10th day of disembarkation, and the second time is on the 18-20th day.

In order for tomatoes to produce a good harvest, it is recommended to form 2 stems from them. It is imperative to monitor the growth of stepchildren, which must be periodically removed.

During the entire growing season, it is recommended to remove weeds, loosen and water the plants. Watering is most active when the first and then the second flower clusters grow and bloom.

Don’t forget to feed it 2 times a month with complex fertilizers.

Shakira tomato varieties have only positive reviews. Everyone who grew it was satisfied, noting the high yield, excellent taste, and resistance to disease. Tomatoes do not require special care; the fruits are large and hang beautifully on the cluster.

The best varieties of tomatoes for 2022: photos and descriptions

When choosing tomatoes for their plot, gardeners, first of all, rely on varietal or hybrid characteristics. Productivity is the most important criterion on which the quantity and quality of the harvest depends. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose the right option from the rich variety of tomatoes for open ground and greenhouses. Then varieties are selected depending on the growing region, ripening period, degree of disease resistance and other factors.

A huge number of species with excellent yields are intended for growing vegetables in the open air. Low-growing bushes with large fruits are one of the advantages of tomatoes for the soil. Such heat-loving plants are easier to care for and do not require complex agricultural practices.

According to ripening period

Tomatoes, like other vegetable crops, are characterized by different ripening periods, from early to late.

Ripening periodRipening of fruits after the appearance of the first shootsgeneral characteristicsThe most productive tomatoes (2020)

The ripening time, color and shape of tomatoes depends on the variety.

Usually early-ripening vegetables with not large fruits and not a large harvest, but with a quick, friendly yield of ripe tomatoes. Mid-season ones also have medium sizes. Late ones are usually difficult to care for, but it is among them that you can find champions in weight, but there are not many such beauties on the bush.

Every year, breeders create new species with high quality indicators. In stores you can buy specialized varieties of tomatoes designed for growing in certain climatic conditions. Classification by regions of Russia:

  • for the Moscow region: Champion, Sweet Bunch, Honey, Pink Elephant, Fireworks, Bull's forehead;
  • for the southern regions: Torch, Novice, Titan, Winner, Bison, Ermak, Gift, Mikado;
  • for the middle zone: Bull's Heart, Black Prince, Uzbek (Yusupov), Moskvichka, Snowdrop, Big Brother, Spasskaya Tower;

An unpredictable, cold or, conversely, excessively warm climate is not a reason to refuse to grow tomatoes in open ground. Thanks to selection, varieties have been developed that grow and develop well in any terrain.

To obtain a rich harvest, you need to choose tomato varieties not only with the appropriate characteristics. It is necessary that this criterion be supplemented by such an indicator as disease resistance.

Reviews

My favorite tomato variety in 2022 is Idol, medium-sized, very tasty, productive. I planted seedlings on March 20, the first fruit was picked on June 20. The bushes bear fruit for 3 months. The most successful cherry variety is Black Cherry, very tasty and productive, the most favorite tomato of children.

I like the fruits to be large and regular in shape. Therefore, I prefer the varieties Early Rose, Peach, Heavyweight of Siberia and Pink Fig. This year I raised Grandma's Secret. The bush is determinate, the average height is 180 cm. I have never produced kilogram fruits, the maximum weight is 700-800 g. Probably this is because I allow the bush to form into two or three stems.

I never conduct systematic analysis. I analyze when the tomatoes are already picked. I love large, sugary berries. I really like the Pink Giant in taste, but the yield is low. So far, my requirements are relatively met by 2 varieties - Pink Andromeda and Mazarin. Over time (I’m a novice gardener) I’m thinking of finding the optimal variety or hybrid of tomatoes.

Now I mainly grow tomatoes in my dacha. About 20 different varieties. Red, yellow, brown, black. Beauty! Cherry, Cream, Ox heart. Different sizes, different tastes, different ripening periods - from May to October. The main thing is that the weather is warm. I’m not keen on canning, so we use fresh vegetables. If the harvest is good, I give the remaining tomatoes to relatives.

Stability of the harvest from year to year, the ability to adapt to weather conditions, resistance to pests and diseases are important criteria for a reliable tomato variety. In 2022, you can plant both time-tested tomatoes and new elite varieties. The choice depends only on the preferences of gardeners.

Tomato Shakira

Tomato is one of the most important vegetables in the human diet; its fruits are not only tasty, but can also bring considerable benefits to the body. Today, many varieties of tomatoes of Dutch selection are quite widely known in Russia. Some of them are popular due to their high yield, others are famous for their vigor of growth and resistance to various diseases. Among Dutch tomatoes there are varieties grown in open ground, and there are also greenhouse tomatoes. In this article I want to highlight one of the new varieties on the Russian market - the Dutch Shakira tomato. Gardeners are always interested in various varieties and hybrids that would give a generous harvest and would not cause much trouble when growing. Some gardeners are interested in the taste qualities of the variety and the ripening period, while others are interested in the difficulty of caring for the bushes, the safety of the fruits and their transportability. Some believe that imported varieties are unsuitable for cultivation in Russian conditions, which is an incorrect statement. However, each specific hybrid is demanding in terms of the conditions for which it is intended.

Description of the variety

The Shakira variety is mid-early, recommended for cultivation in open ground on trellises and in greenhouses, indeterminate, with medium-sized bushes up to one and a half meters high. Requires mandatory formation and pinching; experts advise forming a hybrid into two stems. The Shakira variety is resistant to Fusarium wilt.

The seeds of the hybrid do not need soaking or disinfection, they germinate quickly, so sowing should begin in early March.

Fruit characteristics

The new variety has fleshy fruits with excellent taste characteristics. Tomatoes are flat-round, slightly ribbed. The fruits of the Shakira tomato at the ripe stage are red in color and of medium density, their weight is up to three hundred grams. Tomatoes are resistant to cracking, so they are great not only for fresh consumption, but also for canning.

Important differences between Dutch varieties

Varieties of Dutch tomatoes have an extremely important positive difference: they have good resistance to diseases and high yields, which is why greenhouse owners often prefer to grow them. Dutch varieties allow you to get a yield twice as high as traditional varieties of the crop. Experts grow up to sixty kilograms of tomatoes per 1 square meter of plot; when grown at home, a smaller, but still significant amount of vegetables is obtained

To avoid infection, when growing, tomato bushes are often alternated with cucumber bushes

Seeds of Dutch hybrid tomatoes are now widespread, well-known and very popular in Russia. This is due to the vast experience of the Dutch agricultural complex in the field of breeding and cooperation between countries in this area. If you correctly observe all the conditions for growing imported hybrid varieties, then a high yield will be a worthy reward for your work.

Features of varietal tomatoes from the Netherlands

Nowadays, on store shelves you can find many varieties and hybrids of tomatoes from various manufacturers. A fairly large market share belongs to companies from the Netherlands, for example, Nunhems, Seminis, Syngenta, Bejo. Among imported seeds, they are undoubtedly the leaders.

As an edible crop, tomatoes were not used in Europe until the 18th century, although they were brought from America two and a half centuries before that. As for the Netherlands, despite the heat-loving culture, it quickly took root in this country. Very often, it is for this reason that our gardeners choose Dutch tomato varieties. The Netherlands is a country with a minimum number of sunny days a year, there is very frequent rain, so when crossing, breeders try to develop varieties and hybrids that are resistant to such conditions.

Among Dutch tomatoes there are both those that can be grown in greenhouses and those that are intended for open ground. However, do not delude yourself: for each specific hybrid or variety it is necessary to withstand the conditions for which it was bred. Resistance to diseases is a huge advantage, but many domestic tomatoes tolerate most diseases and viruses well, which makes them no less popular.

Important! When choosing seeds, pay attention to the information on the packaging.

For some, ripening time and taste are important, but for others, the safety of tomatoes, the ability to transport them, or even quality such as the height of the bush and the difficulty of caring for the plant are considered more important.

If you buy seeds of hybrids or varieties in a store, make sure that the information on the packaging is translated into Russian. Important information:

  • tomato disease resistance;
  • ripening period of tomatoes;
  • size of plant and fruit;
  • yield per bush or square meter;
  • use and taste.

Since competition in the market today is great, new greenhouse farms are built every year, experts advise from time to time to try new breeding products, including imported tomatoes.

Sowing and growing seedlings

In order for the harvest to be good, you should keep this in mind.

Planting seeds

Planting work begins in mid-February. From the moment the first shoots form until the plants are transferred to the greenhouse, 1.5-2 months should pass.

Procedure:

  1. Prepare the soil for planting at home. To do this, combine garden soil, peat and humus in equal proportions.
  2. Place the substrate in a box 10 cm high.
  3. Prepare the seed material by soaking it in warm water for a day.
  4. Planting material is sent into furrows to a depth of 1 cm. The distance between them is 5 cm, and between rows - 10 cm.
  5. Cover the box with polyethylene and place it in a dark and warm place.
  6. After 7-10 days, the first shoots appear. At this time, move the containers to a sunny place. If daylight hours are short, then install lamps above the seedlings. The lighting duration will be 12 hours.
  7. If the weather is sunny, then irrigate the seedlings daily. Apply fertilizing at intervals of 10 days. For fertilizer, take 1 liter of water, dissolve 1 g of nitrate, 2 g of potassium sulfate and 3 g of superphosphate.

Planting seedlings

Procedure:

  1. Transplanting seedlings should take place on a cloudy day or in the evening, when there is no direct exposure to sunlight.
  2. Prepare holes 15 cm deep. Place them at a distance of 60 cm.
  3. It is better to plant seedlings in a checkerboard pattern.
  4. After planting, water the plants thoroughly.

Further care

When planting Kibo F1 tomatoes in a permanent place, they require careful care. It consists of the following:

  1. Watering. Kibo F1 needs moderate moisture. With a lack of moisture, the plant grows and develops slowly, which negatively affects the yield. But excess moisture is the main cause of root rot and the development of fungal diseases. Pour up to 2 liters of water under each bush. Watering should be done 1-2 times a week. Warm water is used, applied only at the root.
  2. Fertilizer. The applied fertilizers activate the growth of vegetable crops and increase productivity. Feed Kibo F1 tomatoes 3-4 times per season. Use natural and mineral compositions. If the seedlings are weak and not sufficiently developed, then add nitrogen fertilizers. These include ammonium nitrate and mullein. But you shouldn’t get carried away with them, as this will lead to the formation of abundant greenery.
  3. Garter and stepson. Since the Kibo variety is tall, garter it as it grows. Start doing this when the height of the bushes reaches 40 cm, using wooden supports. Arrange them in arcs opposite each other, and stretch a rope between them. Stepping helps to get rid of excess shoots. The Kibo variety is prone to overgrowth, so remove side shoots every week. Then the vegetable crop will direct all its forces to the formation of fruits.

In the southern regions and central zone, the Kibitz tomato is cultivated both indoors and outdoors. And in northern climates, seedlings can only be planted in protected soil.

Sowing of seeds is carried out already in mid-March, if the plants are planned to be cultivated in a greenhouse. For open ground, these actions are carried out somewhat later, until mid-April.

Before sowing seeds, the prepared soil is spilled with a weak solution of potassium permanganate.

The temperature regime for seedling germination should be maintained at 22C. As soon as the first shoots appear, the temperature is lowered and the containers are placed in a well-lit place.

After 1 - 2 weeks, the plants are fed with complex fertilizer in liquid form.

Agricultural technology is such that this variety is intended exclusively for cultivation by farmers in greenhouses. Therefore, seeds are germinated in any season of the year. It all depends on the required number of seedlings.

The sprouts, after two months of growth in a container, are transplanted into the ground of greenhouses. Tomato bushes bloom after the seedlings have grown to the 12th leaf. The period of maturation of an indeterminate hybrid is considered to be about 100 days of vegetative growth. The ripening and harvesting phase begins after another two weeks of growing season.

Caring for the Kibo variety is quite simple:

  1. It is necessary to trim excess and unusable green mass of the plant during its strong growth or when the lower foliage dies.
  2. When watering, disperse the stream of water so that it does not wash away the soil around the roots of the bush. This will help the bushes receive all the necessary mineral fertilizers.
  3. For preventive purposes against fungal diseases, they are sprayed with products containing large amounts of copper and sulfur.
