    Full description

    Purpose:

    Contact fungicide for protection against fungal diseases of vegetable, fruit crops, vineyards.
    Mechanism of action
    The active component is a copper ion, which is absorbed by the spores of pathogens and accumulates in them until it reaches a concentration that is lethal to cells.
    Copper ions, which penetrate the cell of phytopathogens, interact with various enzymes, suppressing their activity, disrupt respiration processes and cause nonspecific denaturation of proteins, which leads to the cessation of the growth of spores and conidia of fungi. To ensure high efficiency, the drug must be applied to plants before germination begins spores or conidia of a pathogen. It is not recommended to spray the product immediately after rain! The interval between treatments is 8-14 days, depending on weather conditions and the degree of damage by fungal diseases. Absorption and movement in the plant.
    The drug forms a protective layer that prevents pathogens from penetrating into the plant.
    The action of the fungicide is aimed at preventing the germination of spores, so the drug must be applied to the plant before infection begins. Sensitive diseases:
    A complex of fungal diseases, including late blight, downy mildew, rhizoctoniosis, oidium, mildew, macrosporium, scab, powdery mildew, cercospora, etc. The greatest effectiveness is achieved with prophylactic use of the drug before the onset of symptoms of the disease.
    Forms a film on the treated surface that is resistant to adverse weather conditions. The period of protective action is from 7 to 10 days, depending on weather conditions. If the application regulations are followed, it does not have a negative effect on cultivated plants. Advantages

    • Creates a uniform, long-lasting film that is not washed off by rain
    • High fungicidal activity against most phytopathogens
    • Excellent plant coverage and effective disease protection
    • One of the most recognized contact fungicides
    • Safe for beneficial entomofauna
    • Does not precipitate, does not clog injectors

    Working fluid consumption:

    for field crops – 200-400 l/ha; for fruit and hops – 500-1000 l/ha.

    Compatibility

    Kuproxate can be mixed with sulfur preparations, insecticides and fungicides. Before mixing with other drugs, it is recommended to conduct a test for their physical and chemical compatibility.

    Consumption rates for different plants

    When treating vineyards against mildew, 50-60 grams of product per 10 liters of water are used. The number of treatments per season is 3-4 times. When spraying potatoes, zucchini, beets, tomatoes and cucumbers against scab, brown and angular spot, peronospora, late blight, powdery mildew, rhizoctonia, cercospora and macrosporiosis, you need 50 grams of fungicide per 10 liters of water. This is enough to process 1 hundred square meters of plantings. The period between processing and harvesting should be at least 10 days.

    The fungicide is also used to protect apple and pear trees from scab along with fruit rot. To do this, you need to mix 20 grams of the drug in 10 liters of water.

    The number of treatments of fruit crops per season is 3-4 times.

    Description of the drug

    Cuproxate (fungicide and pesticide) belongs to the chemical class of inorganic substances, the main active element is tribasic copper sulfate pentahydrate. The dry product is a white crystalline substance. After treatment, the aqueous solution forms a visible, dense film on the leaves and bark of plants, which protects tissues from the penetration and germination of fungal spores and suppresses parasitic organisms in the early stages of development.

    Attention!

    The drug works at temperatures up to +34 degrees, protects plants for 4–10 days, sometimes up to 3 weeks.

    Features of Kuproxat

    Kuproksat is allowed to be used for the manufacture of tank mixtures. But before using solutions, it is necessary to analyze the physico-chemical reaction; processing is permissible only in its absence. Kuproxat is the standard among copper-containing fungicides; as for analogues, the main one is Bordeaux mixture. The following products can be used as substitutes:

    • "Blue Bordeaux";
    • "Kuprozan";
    • "Polycarbacin";
    • "Skor";
    • "Bayleton";
    • "Mikal";
    • "Acrobat MC";
    • "Ridomil MC".

    The fungicide is effective during periods with frequent precipitation; a positive result is noticeable within 24 hours in the fields and after 3 days in households. Kuproxat is not addictive to pathogens; there is no need to select similar agents for replacement or rotation. The drug is easy to use, it completely dissolves in water, does not form even the slightest sediment (no need to shake periodically) and does not clog the sprayer. Kuproxat is not suitable for the treatment of infected crops; it is used exclusively for preventive purposes.

    Manufacturers and storage conditions

    The production of the drug is carried out by 2 large companies - Vassma and Nupharm, both organizations have already been tested and do not cause any complaints from gardeners. The fungicide is produced in small bags and flasks of small volume, for treating small areas, or in plastic canisters of 10, 25 and 50 liters in the form of a concentrated (34.5%) aqueous emulsion of blue color, thick consistency.

    The product (in its original packaging) should be stored in a dark place, away from children and pets, at a temperature of 0 to +25 degrees, away from food and medicine. The date of manufacture is on the labels or on the canister; the maximum shelf life is 2 years. Do not leave the drug for a long time in a room where the temperature drops below -1 degree; the main substance quickly loses its properties in such conditions.

    Attention!

    Ready-made aqueous solutions are unsuitable for storage; they are used immediately; be sure to estimate the volume of areas being treated. Prepare the solution immediately before use.

    Mechanism of action

    Cuproxat destroys spores by direct contact. The active components of the drug penetrate and accumulate inside fungal cells. Copper microparticles, interacting with the enzymes of harmful organisms, reduce their tone and block respiratory function. This effect leads to a gradual but fairly rapid destruction of fungi. Kuproxat prevents the resumption of the pathogen, but it is better to carry out treatments annually.

    Advantages of the drug:

    • The standard of quality among copper-containing fungicides.
    • Effectively acts against late blight of potatoes and tomatoes, apple scab, grapevine mildew, cucumber downy mildew, powdery mildew and cercospora of sugar beet and other dangerous diseases.
    • Kuproxate as a contact fungicide is an indispensable element in modern systems for protecting potatoes, apple trees, grapevines and other crops from diseases and preventing the development of resistance.
    • Forms a film that is clearly visible on the leaves and is very rain-resistant, which provides reliable protection even in unfavorable weather conditions.
