Description

To begin with, we note that the Sarah tomato is a French invention. This hybrid form is being developed by the Clause company and it was originally intended that these tomatoes would only be grown on an industrial scale, and not in home gardens.

But then the variety was refined, it gained great popularity in Europe, especially in the UK, Italy and its native France. Gradually it reached Eastern Europe, and in Russia it was entered into the state register in 2022 with the designation “early ripening salad hybrid.”

Among its main characteristics:

  • Bushes grow up to 2 meters in greenhouses; in open ground they usually grow to just over 1 meter.
  • The stems are powerful, the distribution of fruits throughout the bush is always uniform.
  • The average weight of one fruit is 200–350 g.
  • The fruits are fleshy, dense and juicy.
  • The shape of the fruit is heart-shaped with a small beak. This is a characteristic feature of Sarra tomatoes.
  • The seeds are small and there are few of them.
  • The taste is tomato, sweet and sour, not bland.
  • The color is rich red, but natural.
  • The smell is present, characteristic, like other tomatoes.

Among the advantages of Sarra tomatoes:

Description and characteristics of the variety

The Orange Perfection tomato belongs to the group of mid-season indeterminates; the ripening period is 120–126 days after germination. Features of the variety:

  • vigorous bushes;
  • stem length - 1.7–1.9 m;
  • racemose fruiting;
  • in clusters - 3-5 tomatoes.

The fruits are elongated, similar to peppers, and brightly colored.

Tomatoes have a pleasant sweet taste with a slight sourness. The fruits are widely used for fresh dishes, making juices and pastes, and for canning.

Description of tomatoes:

  • average weight - 150–250 g;
  • large fruits from the lower branches weigh up to 350 g;
  • shape - elongated, reminiscent of pepper;
  • pulp - fleshy, dense;
  • consistency - strong;
  • The skin is strong and does not crack.

Tomatoes can be stored for up to 1–1.5 months and are easily transported.

Landing

It is best to grow tomatoes of this variety in film greenhouses, so we will consider the planting method specifically for these conditions. However, regardless of whether the greenhouse is heated or not, and whether you plant bushes in a greenhouse or open ground, the scheme will always be almost the same.

Growing seedlings

First, the seedlings must be planted. This happens in the first ten days of March. Tomatoes of the Sarra variety have good germination, so after 4–5 days you can find stronger seedlings. The loops straighten out quickly, and progress can be recorded daily.

For proper seedlings you will need the following mixture:

  1. Turf soil and humus in a 1 to 1 ratio.
  2. Mineral complex - for 1 kg of soil mixture you need about 7 g of superphosphate, as well as 1 gram of potassium salt and ammonium sulfate.

Next, the diving process begins, although it may not be carried out. But if you are used to growing with picking, then you need to do it at the end of March, on the 20th of the month.

Landing in the ground

Planting of Sarah tomatoes in a permanent place occurs from late April to mid-May.

Here it is important to maintain planting density - this is 2 bushes per 1 square meter. After this, all that remains is to properly care for the plants and wait for the harvest.

Positive reviews

Now I will only plant this tomato, it withstood the drought of 2016, Ukraine Ternopil. Very productive, resistant to late blight, started on some bushes of another variety, but not on Tolstoy. I treated it for late blight only once in mid-June.

I acquired the seeds of this variety by accident. Now I don't have the opportunity to deal with tomatoes. But then we were in the store and my son brought me seeds with my name. I became interested, I read that care only involves watering. So I thought, this is what I need.

On July 9, I harvested the first harvest, but the tomatoes were not yet ripe, I collected a five-liter bucket of the largest ones and I think let the rest grow better, and these will ripen at home. We were planning to go on vacation to Turkey. I had to lighten the bushes. Returning from the trip, my tomatoes in the bucket were already all red, so on August 4 we tried the first tomatoes of this variety. On August 5, we went to our site, collected 4 buckets of 10 liters each, but removed not only red ones, but also green ones at the stage of ripeness. I had to collect them without waiting for them to ripen, my bushes were all lying on the ground from the weight of the fruits, despite the fact that I tied them up, they bent my supports. I didn’t expect such a harvest at all. The bushes were not tall, about 50 cm in height, very strong, all the branches were thick, but there were a lot of tomatoes and they were all large, heavy, some branches cracked. I didn’t touch anything anymore, so as not to break the bushes, but only picked the tomatoes. As a result, 8 ten-liter buckets of tomatoes came out of 14 bushes.

The tomatoes are juicy and tasty. But as soon as I picked the first tomatoes, they were sour, then they sat and became sweet. They keep for a long time, I have had them in the refrigerator for more than a month and they are very beautiful, they do not fade or spoil.

I picked the last tomatoes on September 5th and pulled out the bushes, but not all of them. A couple of bushes were left with still green tomatoes, and when I arrived again, on September 19, my abandoned bushes were all affected by late blight, the remaining tomatoes along with the bushes had to be completely removed. What’s interesting is that sometimes you pull out the bushes and there is still flowering, but these bushes were already completely freed of fruits and there was no sign of continued fruiting, no ovaries, no fruits. “Irishka” immediately gives everything she can. It’s hard for her, and in addition to watering, she needs to tie her up better so that each branch has reliable support.

The variety pleased me and I don’t know what it will be like next year, but this year was generally very favorable for tomatoes, warm and minimal rainfall. Maybe that’s why there was no late blight and the harvest was large.

tomato President F1

I live in Siberia and for several years now I have built my own greenhouse and have been growing tomatoes in it. The President planted it for the first time and was very surprised by this tomato (in a good way). The bushes grew into two stems, as indicated on the bag of seeds. He constantly cut off his stepchildren. I fed it often, mostly using organic matter (mullein diluted in water). Although this tomato is early, it bore fruit for me until the Siberian autumn, or, more precisely, until mid-October. And then, we had to pull out the still green bushes with new ovaries, since frosts began, the greenhouse had to be dismantled. Those tomatoes that I picked green and brown ripened perfectly in the house. Some of them stayed in the refrigerator until December 10th! I highly recommend this variety and will definitely grow it again myself.

I liked the tomato FIFTI (50) f1 from Semko-Junior.

I sowed it in February for early ripening, and it ripened at the end of June, the same as in the picture, with a tiny nose and tasty, tastier than Pyshki and Visibly-invisibly (Sib. Garden). And these two were more productive.

I also bought the same pack of seeds for 2015. But damn, the packaging is fresh, the batch is different. So think about it now.

Last year I grew Tolstoy F1, five bushes for a guaranteed harvest. A neat bush, I strictly took care of it. – slender, compact, clusters overlap each other, fruits are medium. The taste is OK for a hybrid. Good technical grade. It seemed that he wanted more water - as soon as he reduced the watering in August, he became a little upset and practically stopped growing, drove out the already knotted brushes, and was again overwhelmed by the autumn rains. Overall, this is a neat hybrid. This year I will repeat again, 4 bushes.

TOMATO DIABOLIC F1

Of course, I plant tomatoes, first of all, so that I can eat them to my heart’s content in the summer, but I also need to think about winter. And the most delicious tomatoes are not always the most productive. That’s why I chose the Diabolik hybrid to get a good harvest, and I was not mistaken. The tomato corresponded to all its declared characteristics, and all its fruits were successfully used for all kinds of twists: adjika, marinades, lecho and others.

Care

First of all, the bushes will need to be tied up, since there are supposed to be a lot of fruits, and they have a decent weight for tomatoes. And it doesn’t depend on whether you use a greenhouse or open ground.

As mentioned earlier, this variety is not very demanding on its nutrition, but if you want to use fertilizers, pay attention to potassium-phosphorus complexes.

After transplantation into open ground has occurred, it is recommended to fertilize weekly with soluble NPK (1:1:1). Fertilizer can be purchased either root or foliar; they are both suitable, but are not used at the same time.

As soon as fruit coloring begins, the nitrogen content in the fertilizing should be reduced, but the potassium concentration should be increased. You can use potassium nitrate.

If you want to do everything perfectly, then also use:

  • Drip irrigation.
  • Fertigation method when carrying out fertilizing.

All this will be enough so that in a couple of months the bushes with tomatoes of the Sarra variety will delight you with the first harvests. That is, by the end of June you will have beautiful, juicy and incredibly sweet tomatoes on your table that can be used to decorate any dish.

Neutral reviews

Very good and beautiful elongated tomatoes! Very productive and tasty! The disadvantage of this hybrid is that it is mid-season.

I saw Black Bunch tomato seeds in the catalog of new products in the Seeds store at VDNH (Moscow). I decided to buy, despite the expensive price of 140 rubles. for 10 pcs. in a bag. Firstly, it was interesting to see real black fruits, so exotic, and secondly, the seller praised them, saying that they planted them last year, the tomatoes were very tasty and the harvest was good.

I planted them as seedlings in March, grew them like all other tomatoes in open ground, and the agricultural technology was no different either.

But at the same time, he suggests planting seedlings at the age of 55-70 days, when the threat of frost has passed. That is, the seedlings should already have fruits that are about to ripen. Oh, the manufacturer is disingenuous. In fact, I collected them in the second half of August, completely immature. And those that I left to ripen on the bushes, literally after a few days, all shrunk, although the tomatoes of other varieties remained normal. But they have been stored in the room for quite a long time, there are still leftovers lying around, none of them have spoiled, the black fruits with a red side have just dried out a little. They shine like they've been oiled.

It was this plum aftertaste that I didn’t like. The plum was tasteless and there was an unpleasant coating on the tongue. Of the 10 seeds, only 2 were planted, the remaining 8 are lying around. Don't know. what to do with them. Plant them as a decoration for flowers, as the bushes of this variety are ugly, the leaves are rough, although the clusters with fruits look good. Or maybe give them a chance and plant a couple of seeds again? But what if. After all, the summer this year was extreme.

Summer 2016. I decided to give these tomatoes a chance. I sowed a couple of seeds again. Both rose well. I planted them in a greenhouse in May. The summer was hot, the tomatoes developed well, they even had time to turn red on the bushes. Including the Black Bunch tomato.

I liked them better this year. They produced a good harvest, the lower clusters lay directly on the ground.

They were also stored well, the last fruits were cut into salad a week before the New Year. But I won’t plant them anymore.

In general, this time my dream of a neat hanging bush strewn with small tomatoes was not destined to come true. But still, tomato F1 “Cherry Falls” showed good results. I know from experience that not every tomato bush growing in an apartment can bear fruit. And from “Cherry Falls” I managed to collect some kind of harvest! And this was during the atypically cold summer of 2022, when nothing grew.

However, I cannot rate this variety of seeds highly. I give it three stars, but not only because the bush has not grown at all in an ampelous form, but also because the branches are brittle. Something the breeders didn’t finish. Or, alternatively, I was doing something wrong. I will not recommend tomato seeds F1 “Cherry Falls” “Agronica”.
