Productivity is about 10 kilograms per plant. The weight of one apricot is approximately 50 grams. The variety is distinguished by its love of warmth and sun. But it can bear fruit even in the shade. It is very important not to overwater it, otherwise the roots will rot. Care, in general, does not cause any problems.
Sunny
The variety is also known as "Sunny Summer". The height of the tree is about 2.5 meters. Fruiting is extended, ripening occurs throughout August. The plant can tolerate slight shading, but it is undesirable for it, since this causes a sharp drop in yield. Frost resistance – up to -35 degrees. The skin is velvety. One apricot weighs approximately 60 grams. The yield is 17 kilograms per tree. The taste of the fruit is incredibly sweet and juicy. The variety needs pollinators, and there should be at least 2-3 of them.

Self-fruited apricots: review of varieties with photos and descriptions
The diverse assortment of the State Register of the Russian Federation and the All-Russian Scientific Institute VNIISPK offers a choice of several self-fertile varieties of apricots. In foreign selection and amateur gardening, there are almost a dozen time-tested self-fertile cultivars with good yields, suitable for cultivation in different regions of our country.
Red-cheeked - popular both in the south and in the Moscow region
The old Soviet variety of apricot is designed to grow in the Caucasus and the Volga region, but has spread throughout central Russia. It ripens early - in early July, and the harvest ripens unevenly. A bright pink blurry blush is always present on the fruits; it is especially pronounced on the “sunny” side of the apricot. The fruits weigh up to 45–50 g. The taste of Red-cheeked is a separate matter - one of the most delicious, aromatic, quite sweet, at the same time shelf-stable and transportable varieties. With proper care, you can get acquainted with the first harvest of the cultivar in the 4th year of growth. Like other varieties, Red-cheeked requires prevention of fungal diseases.
Red-cheeked - self-fertile, worthy of attention

Northern Triumph is the favorite of the middle zone
This is the most common self-fertile apricot in central Russia. Triumph is growing well both in Belarus and in the North-West of our country. A vigorous variety, ripening in August, will produce its first fruits only in the 4th year from the moment of planting. Triumph fruits are orange (weight 40–50 g) with a dark burgundy blurred blush, sweetish, with a pleasant aroma. According to experts from the Association of Michurin Gardeners APPYAPM, the variety is resistant to frost, with annual disease prevention it is practically not damaged and consistently produces up to 50–60 kg of selected fruits from one tree.
Northern triumph is popular among gardeners in our country
I read a lot that Triumph is self-fertile, maybe that’s why it bore fruit.
And the smell! My Northern Triumphs have a sweet, strong scent in the drydown. Apricots are very tasty, aromatic, juicy, but they stick tightly to the tree. The trees grew 4 meters in 3 years. Vietnam-Ka https://www.nn.ru/community/dom/dacha/a_u_kogo_rastet_abrikos_posovetuyte.html

Veteran of Sevastopol
This is the development of specialists from the Institute of Horticulture of Ukraine UUAN. The medium-sized variety is fast-growing - it produces a harvest already in the 3rd year, the fruits are ready for harvest in the 1st half of July. Distributed in Ukraine, southern Russia, and in the southern regions of the middle zone. The fruits of Veteran are round-oval, slightly compressed on the sides, browned, weigh from 50 to 80 g. The yield of the cultivar reaches 98–110 c/ha. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness and high immunity to many diseases. Gardeners note the resistance of the cultivar's flower buds to return frosts and excellent resistance to heat.
I have both of these varieties, but if Veteran of Sevastopol has been bearing fruit for a long time, then Hargrand has not yet bear fruit. Veteran of Sevastopol is winter-hardy, disease-resistant and overall a very good variety. Many gardeners note its high winter hardiness and large fruit.

Veteran of Sevastopol is popular among Ukrainian gardeners
Early of Morden
The Canadian cultivar is considered one of the most frost-resistant - it can withstand frost down to -35 degrees - and immune-resistant self-fertilization. APPYAPM specialists approved this cultivar more than 15 years ago - it often grows in industrial gardens in the European part of Russia. The fruits of this variety resemble a miniature lemon: with a “spout”, slightly flattened, yellow, with a slight orangish blush, weigh 40–50 g, the flesh is sweet and sour. And also Early from Morden was loved for its early fruiting - already in the 2nd year the first ovary appears on the trees. The yield of the cultivar reaches 280 centners per hectare; in the 7–8th year of life, one tree of the variety produces up to 27–35 kg of fruit. The variety is relatively resistant to fire blight and moniliosis.
Experts believe that the Early variety from Morden certainly requires thinning of the ovaries
Champion of the North
The variety is capable of producing crops both in regions with a mild climate and in continental ones - in Siberia, the Urals, and Belarus. VNIISPK specialists claim that the medium-sized variety tolerates frosts down to -25 degrees well and rarely gets sick. The fruits appear on the trees already in the fourth year - large, round-sided, weighing up to 65 g, light-colored, ruddy on the sides, distinguished by juiciness and pleasant sourness. The yield of the cultivar fluctuates within 200 c/ha. The disadvantage of the variety is low resistance to clasterosporium blight.
Its main distinguishing qualities from many other varieties are: drought-resistant, winters well and produces very high yields.
The tree is tall - up to five meters - with powerful skeletal branches and a sparse conical crown. The fruits are red-orange with a blush all over your cheek! They are sweet and sour and quite large for an apricot from our latitudes - up to 60g (the Orlovchanin variety was only 40–50g generous). Gotval https://otzovik.com/review_8196934.html
The fruits of the Champion of the North variety make excellent jam and marmalade
Obolonsky
A promising variety of apricots, Obolonsky, was developed by Ukrainian breeders (author A. Denisyuk). A powerful cultivar with large, up to 60 g, pink fruits with yellowish markings. Obolonsky apricots are very similar to peaches, even the taste is identical - the flesh is orange, sweet, plump, juicy. The peculiarity of the variety is that it is not afraid of moniliosis and is quite cold-resistant. The variety is widespread in Central Russia and Ukraine. This is a fast-growing apricot - the first ovaries appear in the 3rd year of life. The harvest ripens in mid-July.
Obolonsky is capable of giving up to 25 kg from a tree

Pineapple
This cultivar has recently become popular among domestic gardeners and farmers from neighboring countries. Pineapple is very similar to Pineapple Tsyurupinsky, but the latter is not self-fertile and is included in the State Register of the Russian Federation. Self-fertile pineapple is an apricot bred by Kostin K.F., common in Ukraine, but also found in private gardens in the south of Russia, in Belarus, in the south of the Volga region. The peculiarity of the variety is elongated, light yellow, almost pubescent fruits, which have a pleasant fruity aroma, but it is difficult to call it the smell of pineapple (fruit weight 40 g). These apricots are quite lightweight, can easily be transported, and are highly resistant to fungal diseases. The yield of the variety reaches 160 c/ha, fruiting starts in the 3rd–4th year after planting.
The variety is self-fertile and bears fruit well in single-varietal plantings.
Even if a tree is planted as a single tree on a plot, the yield will be high. However, the presence of other varieties nearby can significantly improve the taste of the fruit. The fruits ripen in mid-July, 5–6 days later than the Red-cheeked variety. Fruit ripening is uneven, extended, over 1–2 weeks. When fully ripened on the tree, the fruits tend to become mealy; overripe fruits fall off greatly, especially if there is a lack of moisture in the soil. In this regard, the harvest has to be harvested several days before the fruits are fully ripened (at the stage of technical ripening), and in several stages in order to obtain the maximum yield of marketable products. It is advisable to collect the fruits when they acquire a rich yellow color, but the pulp still remains quite dense. secam https://forum.vinograd.info/showthread.php?t=13965
Pineapple has pleasant-tasting, slightly velvety fruits.
Nikitsky
The cultivar belongs to the ancient selection of the Nikitsky Garden (1930), but is not included in the State Register of the Russian Federation. The taste of the cultivar's fruits will appeal to the most demanding gourmets: apricots are of decent size - up to 50 g, with velvety pubescence, sweet, orange-golden, the flesh is juicy and dense. The variety is valued not only for its self-fertility and early fruiting (fruiting in the 3rd year), but also for its resistance to many fungal diseases and drought resistance. Nikitsky prefers a mild climate and is successfully grown in Ukraine, in the south of our country. The only drawback is that the crop quickly overripens and becomes soft and is unsuitable for transportation.
Apricot Nikitsky has a decent taste - suitable for fresh consumption and canning

Apricots with a medium ripening period
Apricots with an average ripening period differ from early varieties in that they have greater resistance to unstable temperatures and tolerate the lack of moisture well. The fruits of these trees can be taken for making dried fruits, canning and making desserts. Which varieties can be called mid-season, we will consider their characteristics below.
Apricot variety Pineapple photo

The tree begins to bear fruit in the 4th year of life and grows high. The average lifespan of one tree is about 65 years. Thus, by choosing the Shalah variety, you can grow an orchard for several generations.
Each fruit weighs around 53 grams. The harvest is rich every year. This apricot variety is grown because it is not very picky about weather conditions and soil type. There is also no serious system for caring for fruit trees.
Trees should be protected from too low temperatures. At a frost of -19 degrees, apricots can freeze very much. At the same time, the buds and flowers of the crop tolerate frost well.
And if at the slightest frost the inflorescences of other varieties die off, then Shalah will give you a harvest. Trees are resistant to diseases. It is profitable to grow fruit crops in the middle zone of the country.

Hargrand
Review.
Hargrand is a variety that I really wanted to plant. And planted it! It attracted me with its resistance to disease and frost. And the size of the fruit, yield, early fruitfulness, self-fertility, transportability - all these undeniable advantages only fueled the desire. Our plot with a garden is located far from the city “in an open field”. There are no forests nearby, only fields and neighboring plots. Those. all the cruelty of our winters falls on the trees there. Our tree is 3 years old. In the second year it was showered with flowers like I’ve never seen on young apricots. Hundreds and hundreds of flowers. All the branches were thickly covered with flowers. And this is after such a bad winter, with constant thaws followed by merciless frosts. Of course, I had to cut off the extra ones, but it was a pity... The harvest was still rich and bright, the neighbors came to try. As for the taste, what can I say... Well, I have tastier varieties. This one is very sweet - you can save on sugar when twisting it. But there is no zest in it. Very elegant - the sides of the fruit facing the sun turn out rosy-rosy.
Description.
The Hargrand apricot variety was developed in Canada by breeder George Line in 1969. The Gold Rich variety was used as a pollinator. The variety was officially registered in 1981.
Trees of the Hargrand variety are medium-sized, with a lush crown.
Early fruiting variety. It begins to bear fruit 2-4 years after planting.
Ripens in late July-early August. The fruits are large (60-70 g) and very large (up to 120-150 g). The size depends on the number of fruits on the tree and the conditions in which the tree grows. The shape of the fruit is oval, slightly flattened on the sides. The skin is smooth, pale orange, without blush or with a slight blush (about 20% of the surface). There are a few red dots. The pulp is tasty, medium juicy, aromatic, dense, light orange in color. The taste is honey with a spicy sourness. The bone is small and comes off easily.
The variety is productive, but the fruits do not tend to fall off prematurely, so they need to be thinned out if necessary. If you don’t thin out, the fruits become smaller and it’s hard for the young tree.
The winter hardiness of the wood is high; buds and flowers survive frosts almost without loss. Transportability is high. On the picture:
our apricot, bought at a nursery under the Hargrand label. In the hot summer at the dacha, it reaches such a nuclear red color. In this case, the side turned away from the sun remains yellow. Strong, light, sweet. Volgograd

Advantages and disadvantages
- Frost resistance
- Self-pollinating
- Taste and aroma of fruits
- Transportability of ripe fruits
- Fruits fall off as they ripen
Early ripening apricots
These trees are very popular among gardeners because they have time to ripen in the north of their tolerance region. The tolerance region is a certain set of territories where tested apricot varieties show the greatest resistance to the external environment and produce a stable and abundant harvest. Early apricot varieties also have disadvantages: they are afraid of cold and rainy spring. Early apricots delight every year with their excellent taste; the harvest can be harvested as early as the third decade of June. The fruits of this group are eaten fresh. Early varieties include: Zhigulevsky Souvenir, Kyiv Early, Bryansky Early, Tsunami, Early Blush, etc.
Variety Ulyanikhinsky
Feels great in the Central Black Earth region
The variety was obtained by crossing the Comrade apricot with the Sacer apricot, and then with the Red-cheeked apricot. The tree is fast growing and has a tendency to overgrow. This apricot is medium-sized, reaching 4 m in height. Does not like waterlogging, so soil moisture control is necessary. Gives an annual abundant harvest. With an excessive harvest, the fruits become smaller. Apricot is yellow in color with a red blush turning into dots. The fruits have a juicy, sweet and pleasant taste and are rated 4.0 points. Their size ranges from 26–33 g. The stone is easily separated from the pulp. Good transportability. The tree is winter-hardy and also has high resistance to pests and fungi. Feels great in the Central Black Earth region. Self-fertile apricot for table and dessert purposes.
Variety Alyosha
The fruits are small and have a pleasant sweet and sour taste.
A fast-growing medium-sized tree reaching 4 m in height. Every year it produces basal shoots, which should be removed so that the yield does not decrease. The crown is dense and spreading. The fruits are small, yellow with a reddish coating, slightly pubescent, weighing on average 13–20 g. The pulp is yellow, dense, with a pleasant sweet and sour taste, estimated at 4.0 points. The stone is quite large and does not stick to the ripened pulp. The fruits are well stored. Average yield. Winter-hardy variety for universal use. It begins to bear fruit in the third year.
Variety Sibiryak Baikalova
Self-fertility is low, the best pollinators are Sayan and Gorny Abakan
To obtain this apricot, a seedling of an unknown Far Eastern variety was used. Specially bred for the south of Siberia. The tree is low, up to 4 m in height, the crown is spherical and spreading. Self-fertility is low; it is better to use pollinators of northern varieties (for example, Sayansky and Gorny Abakan). It begins to bear fruit in the third year. Withstands cold winters and produces a bountiful harvest. The tree requires care. The fruits are round, yellow-orange, with blush and medium pubescence, weight ranging from 27–35 g. The taste is fleshy and sweet, score 4.8 points. Apricot for universal use.
An apricot seedling of the “Sibiryak Baikalova” variety was bought three years ago at the Gardening store.
And this is the first year he pleases us with the first harvest. Many are surprised that this heat-loving plant grows in Siberia. This is the merit of our Abakan breeder and Honored Agronomist of Russia Ivan Leontievich Baikalov. His apricots grow all over Khakassia; he devoted almost 50 years of his life to breeding winter-hardy varieties. His name is included in the Russian Book of Records. He is already quite advanced in age, but he still spends his days on his apricot plantation. If in the south apricots ripen in June, then ours only in August, but they taste good and are superior in beauty to those from the south. ira_nad

Review.
We have one. Apricots are strong, large (sometimes up to the size of a small peach), and beautiful. It’s a bit of a pain (the neighbors don’t spray their apricots, they have severe moniliosis on their property, it’s spreading to us), we cut off the frozen and moniliosis branches. There are not many of them. Description. Winter hardiness in the Volgograd region is high, drought resistance and heat resistance are high. Ripening period is medium-late (late July - early August). The fruits are large (according to the description, 55 g, but what I saw with my own eyes was much larger). The outer color of the fruit is orange with a dark red blush on the sunny side. The pulp is orange, juicy, with excellent sweet and sour taste. The seed is sweet. The bone is well separated from the pulp. Transportability is good. Polesie fruitful
The variety is winter-hardy, productive, disease-resistant, and drought-resistant. Gardeners especially note the winter hardiness of flower buds. The tree is medium-sized, the crown is spreading. Honey has great growth force, reaching up to 4 m in height. The crown is quite spreading, but spherical and moderately compacted. The fruits are average. Their weight ranges from 50 to 70 g. They are oval in shape and quite symmetrical. The pulp is the same color as the skin of the fruit, and the structure is quite dense. The fruit has a sweet honey taste and comes off well from the small seed.
This variety is self-fertile. The tree ripens in late July and early August and is characterized by high yield. The average yield per plant is 15-20 kg. Apricot Honey, like the best winter-hardy varieties (Rossiyanin, Hardy, Red-cheeked), is little susceptible to diseases and is quite resistant to low temperatures.
Son of Red-Cheeked
Review.
This variety is widespread in the Volgograd region, but I must admit, we abandoned it, because it was always sick, no matter how much it was treated or pruned, its yield after the flower buds froze was low. Many of our neighbors have it growing, and they also complain: “it’s sick.” But tasty, good in compotes. If you don’t get sick, there’s a lot of harvest. Description. Let's talk about the variety in more detail. It was bred at the Rossoshansky zonal experimental horticulture station by M.M. Ulyanishchev from crossing the varieties Golden Summer and Krasnoshchekiy. The tree is medium or vigorous, with a dense crown. The fruits are of different sizes - from 30 to 60 g, oval or round-oval, slightly or moderately flattened laterally. The color of the skin of the fruit is orange with a blurred orange-red blush on the sunny side, the pubescence is medium. The seed is bitter. The pulp is bright orange, dense, juicy, sweet with a pleasant apricot aroma, the tasting score is high - 4.7 points (compotes have a score of 4.0). Flowering in mid to late period. Ripening in the middle period (in Volgograd - 2nd ten days of July). Trees begin to bear fruit at 4-5 years. Productivity depends on overwintering of flower buds. Ours was weak. The variety was inferior in every way to the Manitoba worker. We should note irregular yields due to freezing of flower buds. According to official data, the winter hardiness of the tree for our region is good. And again, according to official data, it is weakly affected by clusterosporiasis - up to 1-2 points in epiphytoty years, and is quite resistant to monilial burn. We are not ready to confirm this statement. Pineapple Tsyurupinsky The main advantages of this variety are resistance to moniliosis, clasterosporium blight, winter hardiness and self-fertility (i.e. the variety can bear fruit without a pollinator neighbor). Medium ripening variety (2nd decade of July). The tree is medium-sized, with a rounded, widely spread crown of medium density. The pomology indicates that the variety is demanding of growing conditions, is unpretentious to soils, and responds positively to the application of fertilizers. Drought resistance is satisfactory, requires watering. “Pineapple Tsuryupinsky” is a fast-growing variety that begins to bear fruit in 3-4 years. It blooms in early to mid-season, so it often avoids dangerous frosts in early spring. Fruiting is concentrated mainly on fruit twigs, overgrowing branches and annual shoots. The yield is average, regular, approximately 90 c/ha, in Crimea - up to 150 c/ha. The duration of the productive period is 20 - 30 years. Winter hardiness is higher than that of Red-cheeked. Trees freeze slightly in harsh winters, recover in subsequent years and quickly achieve high productivity. But late frosts can kill the blooming flowers. Trees require careful formative pruning. With a strong thickening of the crown, the plants are overloaded with the harvest, the formation of flower buds is reduced, and fruiting is weakened. Various crown shapes are acceptable for the variety, but a sparsely tiered one is preferable. Trees respond positively to mechanized pruning. In Volgograd, we traditionally don’t water apricots; they don’t like watering. But for this variety, watering is important, in particular watering a month before the fruits ripen; drought during this period can lead to the ovaries falling off; timely watering promotes intensive fruit growth and an increase in yield. Increased productivity is ensured by autumn and spring moisture-recharging irrigation. It is especially important to provide plants with moisture after harvesting. At this time, the formation and differentiation of flower buds occurs, on which the next year's harvest depends.
The fruits are of medium size, weighing 40 g. The peduncle is thick, attached to the tree moderately, not very firmly to the fruit, and may fall off in strong winds. The skin is medium dense, medium pubescent. The color is light yellow, matte, without blush. The pulp is light yellow with an orange tint, soft-fiber, medium density, juicy, sweet and sour, aromatic, good taste (tasting score 4 - 4.5 points). The taste depends on the growing conditions. In the south, the fruits are sweeter; in rainy summers, they are juicier and more diluted. Poor agricultural technology causes a deterioration in the taste of fruits. With a lack of moisture, astringency and even bitterness appear in the fruits. When overripe, the fruits fall off. The seed is sweet. The fruits ripen almost simultaneously. Transportability and shelf life are good, universal use - fresh and for making compotes, juices, jams, preserves. Productivity is average. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones.
Apricot northern triumph
Apricot Triumph Northern, sometimes found under the names Northern Triumph and Triumph of the North, is a breeding hybrid obtained by crossing the Red-cheeked and Northern Early varieties.
Triumph Northern grows up to 3–4 m in height. The tree is quite powerful, with a wide, spreading crown in the shape of an almost regular ball. It is distinguished by dense foliage and many small branches extending from skeletal shoots.
The average lifespan of a tree is 25 years. With proper care, it can be extended to 35–40 years. The fruits ripen in the last ten days of July or closer to mid-August. Every year the number of fruits harvested increases, reaching 55–65 kg. The highest possible yield is produced by 10–15 year old trees.
The average weight of one apricot is 40–50 g, some specimens reach 55–60 g.
Important! The pulp is very juicy, aromatic and sweet. Gourmets note a slight almond flavor. The seeds of ripe fruits are yellow-brown and are easily separated from the pulp. Its kernel is edible and also sweet.
The fruits are characteristically oblong and symmetrical in shape. When ripe, the skin is bright orange with a “blush” where the sun hits it. Its shade varies from soft pink to dark scarlet. The skin is quite dense, has a sour taste, and is characterized by a slight edge. Small yellowish or greenish inclusions are normal.
Advantages and disadvantages of a hybrid
The Northern Triumph apricot variety has many undoubted advantages that have ensured its steady popularity for almost fifty years:
- Precociousness. The first harvest is harvested 3–4 years after the seedling is planted in the ground.
- Taste and appearance of fruits, high yield. Triumph Northern is appreciated not only by those who grow apricots for themselves, but also by gardeners who do this for the sake of selling them.
- Strong attachment to the branches of even fully ripe apricots. This allows you to wait a few days before harvesting, for example, to wait for favorable weather.
- Cold resistance. Wood tolerates frosts down to -30–35ºС, while flower buds have slightly worse indicators - up to -28ºС. Therefore, they can freeze. Triumph Northern suffers little from sudden temperature changes.
- Self-fertility. The tree does not need pollinating varieties.
- Resistant to many common diseases. The tree also recovers quite easily from pest attacks.
The Northern Triumph apricot variety is valued for its high yield and presentable appearance of the fruit.
There are also some disadvantages:
- Very early and abundant flowering. It looks, of course, very beautiful and pleases the eye after a long winter, but in the Urals and Siberia, returning spring frosts are practically the norm.
- Irregularity of fruiting. Every few years the tree “rests.” Moreover, it is impossible to predict when this will happen. There is no trace of any cyclicity.
Neglect of the crown and tree height. This makes tree care and harvesting difficult, especially for older gardeners.
Top 6. Lel
Rating (2021): 4.55
The most compact size of the tree Apricot variety Lel usually does not grow higher than 3 meters, which is one of its advantages, allowing the tree to winter better even in the northern regions of the middle zone.
- Characteristics
Fruit weight: 20 g

Red-cheeked
Review Many people note the sickness of the variety, but in our country it is no more sick than in Manitoba for sure. I like the productivity. The taste is good. The compotes are wonderful. Description Red-cheeked is a popular variety in the Volgograd region. The tree is vigorous, with a rounded, spreading sparse crown. Ripens in the second half of July. The fruits are medium and large in size, 40 - 52 g, with a characteristic apricot aroma. The color is golden orange with a beautiful washed out blush. The skin is velvety pubescent. Tasting score in fresh form is 4.6 points, for making compotes - 4.6 points, dried fruits - 3.8 points. The fruits are stored for 6-8 days, transportable. The bone comes off well. The seed is sweet. The variety is self-fertile and early-bearing, fruiting begins at 3-4 years. According to official data, winter hardiness is good. Disease resistance - 1-2 points. In reality, you have to cut down diseased branches regularly. It is impossible to do without treating wood against fungal diseases. With poor care and lack of moisture in the soil, the fruits become smaller and the harvest is irregular.
Apricot Saratov ruby
The tree is very large, about 6-7 meters high, the crown is wide, spreading, cup-shaped. Fruiting is annual, abundant, even after winters with frosts of -30C. The frost resistance of the buds is even superior to the pole. The fruits are dry, large, slightly oblong, flattened on the side, with a bright red blush. The bone separates well.
Apricot "Saratov ruby" belongs to the category of varieties of medium-early ripening. The fruits reach the stage of removable ripeness around the second decade of July. The average weight of a marketable fruit is 38-40 g or more.
The variety is characterized by good taste and a very attractive, marketable appearance of the fruit. Fully ripened apricots have a rich, orange-ruby color.
Apricot Lel
Apricot of the Lel variety, with proper care, reaches a height of 3 m. The crop is distinguished by its average crown size, dark green foliage, which becomes copper-amber in autumn.
Apricot blooms in spring, abundantly, with a variety of inflorescences of white or white-pink shades. The fruit tree develops at an average pace; the first fruiting can occur 3-4 years after the seedling is planted in the ground.
Important! The variety is perfectly adapted to cold weather and tolerates frosts down to -30 degrees without additional shelter.
The fruits have the perfect combination of sourness and sweetness, very juicy. The maximum fruit weight is 20 g; when ripe, the stone is easily separated from the pulp. The surface of the fruit is smooth, without a velvety coating, rich orange color without inclusions.
Apricot Lel is distinguished by a number of varietal characteristics that must be taken into account when growing:
- resistant to various pests and diseases (aphids or cluster blight);
- bears fruit early; only varieties Alyosha and Iceberg are ahead of Lel in terms of ripening speed;
- the presence of a fairly large seed - up to 12% of the volume of the fruit;
- long life expectancy - with good care up to 100 years;
