Description of the Admiralteysky tomato variety and its characteristics
Gardeners in regions with short, cool summers dream of growing tomatoes in open ground. The Admiralteysky tomato ripens under unfavorable conditions. It produces delicious fruits already in July. The berries are completely removed before August 15th.
What attracts gardeners
This tomato variety was developed by breeders in St. Petersburg. Goal: to create a plant that can produce crops in high light, humidity and moderate summer temperatures.
The product turned out to be successful. The short summer of the Leningrad region does not prevent tomatoes from ripening. Description of the variety:
- bears fruit in open ground and under covers made of film and non-woven material;
- early ripening (from germination to the first sample What will please the Admiralteysky
Often, improving one indicator of a variety reduces others. Early ripening of Admiralteysky does not affect the taste of the fruit. Characteristics of tomatoes:
- heavy tomatoes (200 - 210 g);
- dense, juicy pulp;
- unripe fruits are green, ripe ones are red;
- weakly expressed ribbing;
- spherical shape, flattened at the spouts and stalk;
- thick peel;
- taste sweet and sour;
- rich “tomato” aroma.
Breeders have created a variety for universal use. The fruits of Admiralteysky are delicious in salads and canapés. The skin does not crack during heat treatment, and the pulp does not spread. Berries decorate the vegetable platter. Juice and pasta diversify the winter menu.
How to grow fruit baskets
Early tomatoes require strict adherence to the recommendations of agricultural technicians. Only in this case will the fruits ripen on time, the size and taste will be as indicated on the label. Growing is different from normal. Rules:
- sow seedlings no earlier than the last ten days of March;
- after the loops appear, place the container on a bright, cool windowsill;
- create long daylight hours using an agricultural lamp (16-18 hours);
- deep picking is required;
- follow the rule: underwatering is better than overwatering;
- Be sure to harden young tomatoes;
- apply fertilizing to the soil and leaves;
- plant on ridges at ground temperatures of 20 ⁰C and above;
- do not exceed 5 tomatoes per m²;
- watering is rare (once every 15 days), but abundant (about 7 l/bush);
- form into 2 stems, stepson;
- the bush overloads itself with fruits: a garter is required;
- be sure to feed (especially during the formation of ovaries and ripening of tomatoes).
To get a good harvest, gardeners will have to work hard
Nitrogen provokes the growth of green mass and should be applied with caution. The schedule of mineral supplements must be followed
With the coming cold snap, it is recommended to collect tomatoes. They will ripen in a dark pantry.
What gardeners say about Admiralteysky
The variety is loved by gardeners. They named it one of the 10 best tomatoes. Since 1999, the reviews have been extremely good. People like: taste, commercial quality of berries, early ripening. Attracts the universal use of fruits. Admiralteysky “registered” in dacha plots.
Description of the variety
Like many other tomatoes from the breeder, Combitomat is a tall variety, the bush of which in closed ground usually exceeds two meters. The plant is strong, weakly leafy, with a large number of flower clusters. The leaves are of the usual type, the color is bright green.
In terms of ripening time, Combitomat Tarasenko is a mid-early tomato; after about 102-110 days it will be possible to pick the first tomatoes (days are counted from the emergence of plant shoots).
For such tall tomatoes, the following are required:
- tying (it is best to use the trellis method for them);
- bush formation.
The Tarasenko Combitomat gives the best results when forming it into two stems, although some gardeners use one stem, others prefer three stems. It is very convenient to grow such tomatoes on a trellis, since the plants are evenly illuminated by the sun and do not obscure each other.
ON A NOTE! The Combitomat variety has a long fruiting period, so you can pick tomatoes from it until frost.
The vegetative mass of plants is high, a lot of fruits are set. Taking this into account, it is necessary to carry out regular feeding and control the air temperature in the shelter. It is better to choose this variety for experienced gardeners, since it is necessary to follow all the rules of agricultural technology for indeterminate tomatoes in order to get a high yield.
Description of fruits
The variety from Tarasenko is considered high-yielding; with proper and careful care, up to 20 kg of fruit can be harvested from one Kombitomat bush.
The first flower clusters are usually tied after 5-6 leaves, then inflorescences appear every three leaves. The brushes are complex, with up to 18-25 flowers formed in each.
Combitomat’s fruits are interesting - bright red, weighing on average 159-180 grams, shaped like large, fleshy cream. Some specimens reach 250 grams. The skin is dense, the flesh inside is juicy and very aromatic.
The taste qualities of this tomato (like all tomatoes bred by Tarasenko) are very high. Perhaps this tomato is not as famous as other varieties of this breeder - Nadezhda, Yubileiny, Podarok Polesie, but it also deserves attention.
The fruits are used fresh, used for juices, sauces, and pastes. At the moment of fruiting, the bush looks very bright, as it is hung with luxurious bunches of tomatoes.
Description of tomato Talalikhin 186, technical data and rules for growing the plant
Tomato Talalikhin 186 is intended for cultivation in Siberian conditions. It can be grown both in open ground and in greenhouse complexes. Tomatoes can be grown in almost all regions of Russia.
Some technical data of the plant
The characteristics and description of the variety are as follows:
- After planting seedlings in open ground, fruit ripening occurs after 100-120 days. Fruiting lasts 2.5 months.
- Bushes of the Talalikhin 186 variety have a height of 0.5 to 0.67 m. An average number of leaves grow on the stem of the plant. They are small in size and colored green.
- 2-3 clusters develop on the main stem, the length of which ranges from 6 to 9 cm. Each cluster contains from 2 to 5 berries. The first raceme appears above the 7th or 8th leaf, and subsequent ones grow after 1-2 leaves.
- The weight of the fruit ranges from 105 to 190 g. The shape of the berries is round. The fruits are colored orange and red. Inside the pulp there are from 6 to 13 seed chambers.
- Talalikhin 186 is used for the production of salads and tomato paste.
Reviews from those who planted the described variety show that the yield ranges from 1.2 to 3.1 kg of berries per bush. Plantings of this tomato tolerate low temperatures well. The berries ripen almost simultaneously, which allows you to quickly harvest.
But gardeners also note disadvantages of the Talalikhin 186 variety:
- tomatoes are often subject to fungal diseases;
- to increase productivity it is necessary to remove stepsons;
- transportation of fruits is possible only over medium distances.
How to grow a plant in your garden
Seedlings are grown from seeds pre-treated with potassium permanganate.
The seeds are placed in a container with special soil for tomatoes mixed with peat and sand. After the sprouts develop (approximately 10 days after planting), they are plucked when 1-2 leaves appear on the stems. It is recommended to water the seedlings with warm water. When 50-60 days have passed, you can transfer them to permanent soil.
Description of the hybrid
Hybrid tomatoes are virtually guaranteed to be resistant to diseases and bad weather conditions, which is something that non-hybrid varieties suffer from. Greenhouses and greenhouses are valued for storing heat, but in them tomatoes can suffer from too high temperatures and sudden temperature changes. In recent years, world selection has been aimed at producing “heat-resistant” hybrids with a reliable guarantee of ovary production.
Hybrids are especially helpful in a greenhouse or a small garden plot where there are no real opportunities for crop rotation and diseases are prevalent. Selection successes demonstrate confident resistance to various types of infections - viral (especially the most dangerous tobacco mosaic virus), fungal, bacterial. In addition, the hybrids have uniform fruits and consistently high yields.
Tomato Incas F1
One of the best hybrids for canning whole fruits without skin. Popular early high-yielding bush hybrid. The plant is medium-sized, compact.
Tomato from the Dutch company Numens, zoned in Russia; entered into the state register in 2000. Mid-early hybrid (105 days) of meter-high vegetables, determinate. Very high resistance to fungal diseases has been recorded. The fruits are 80-100 g, dense, bright red, pepper-shaped, fleshy, uniform, tolerate sunburn well, are very easy to ripen, transported over long distances without loss of quality.
Tomato Torquay F1
Dutch hybrid from Bejo Zaden; in the Russian register since 2007. Mid-season tomato (119-123 days from germination to ripening), bush type - determinate, maximum height 100 cm. Forms abundant multiple clusters with fruits weighing 60-140 g. Dense tomatoes withstand long-term transportation, excellent in pickling and pickling matters.
Tomato Mariana F1
The tomato was created in the French branch of the Japanese company Sakata (the image of the woman Mariana is a symbol of the French Republic). The breeders of this agricultural company are often suspected of producing GMOs, but so far without real evidence. Mariana is a mid-early determinate hybrid. The fruits are similar in shape to Incas - also elongated-oval, perfectly smooth, super dense.
Tomato Bagheera F1
Hybrid from the leading French seed company Cloz. Included in the Russian seed register in 2007.
Early high-yielding hybrids are a real boon for the garden. They are cold-resistant, do not need pinching or tying up, and practically do not get sick. The ripening period is marked as medium-early; determinate bush. The fruit is round, flattened on top, ribbed, weight ranges from 80-220 g. The hybrid is resistant to soil drought and nematode, more suitable for regions located in the south. Does not suffer from fusarium and verticillium wilt.
Tomato F1 Semko 2005
The tomato is suitable for open ground and under film shelters (greenhouses). Determinate, medium-sized, compact. Resistant to soil salinity, drought, high temperatures, grows well in open ground in both southern and northern regions. Vegetables practically do not suffer from viral and fungal diseases, even late blight.
Tomato F1 Semko 2010
Included in the state register in 2010. Ultra-early ripening determinate hybrid - 85-88 days pass from the sprouting of green vegetables to the coloring of fruits. The first brush is formed immediately after the sixth leaf grows. The fruits are incredibly dense for such an early tomato, and are by no means small - 130 g. The shape is round hearts with a beautiful pointed tip.
In open ground, we usually plant thickly - 5-6 bushes per square. The best harvest from such an area is at least a bucket. The hybrid is highly resistant to bacteria, fungi and viruses. Does not crack and does not suffer from blossom end rot. Successfully withstands high temperatures and dry soil.
The newest indeterminate hybrid (on the register since 2015) - tested by us, everything is fine - created taking into account all possible greenhouse disasters. Firstly, it sets well even in the heat, as well as during temperature changes. Secondly, it is tolerant of problematic soil substrates. Thirdly, it shows high resistance to viral, fungal and bacterial infections.
The yield of vegetables varies between 20-30 kg/1 square meter. Mid-early hybrid (100 days from green shoots). The clusters begin to form after 7-9 leaves, each bears 5-6 tomatoes in the shape of rounded hearts, smooth, beautiful, attractive orange color. The weight of the “heart” is 160-190 g. The pulp contains a high percentage of dry matter, sugars, and carotenoids.
Bushes of unlimited growth, with dense foliage. Mandatory shaping is required, including a garter. Hybrid of medium early or medium ripening period (112-118 days). Clusters of 6-8 tomatoes weighing 130-150 g. The fruits are plum-shaped, slightly tapering downwards. They are deep red in color, thick-skinned, with a high percentage of dry matter.

Therefore, the tomato requires gartering and pinching. Tomatoes are oval-shaped with a spout, weight ranges from 80 to 140 g. On average, 9 kg are obtained per bush. The color of the fruit is red-orange. The skin and pulp are dense. Can be stored for 6-7 weeks. In greenhouses people do not suffer from viral and fungal infections.
On the register since 2015. The bushes are semi-determinate, beautiful, a meter and a half high. Suitable for any soil - open or closed. Plants require pinching. Multiple clusters bear up to 30 fruits with a sweet taste and a perfect “strawberry” shape. The weight is typical for classic cherry tomatoes - 25 g. Thanks to the strong skin, the fruits can be stored for a long time. Early hybrid: ripe fruits appear 91-93 days after the sprouts emerge. The plant is resistant to Fusarium wilt.
Tomato F1 Kaspar
The bush is short, usually up to the first cluster, 60 cm. The fruits of the plants are cylindrical with a spout, the length varies around 11 cm, and the weight is 95-115 g. They are very dense, without juice. It is convenient to pickle them assorted with cucumbers of a similar size.

How to plant “Admiralteysky” in a garden plot
To grow these tomatoes, seeds for seedlings must be sown no earlier than the last week of March.
After the sprouts appear, the boxes with seedlings are placed in a cool room with good lighting. For sprouts, it is necessary to create daylight hours lasting from 16 to 18 hours. For these purposes, a special lamp is used. After 2 leaves appear, all seedlings dive. This tomato does not like excessive moisture, so the volume of water for irrigation must be strictly regulated. After the sprouts reach a height of 7-8 cm, it is recommended to harden them. Young seedlings are transferred to permanent soil at an air temperature of 20⁰C, having previously added mineral fertilizers to the soil. For 1 sq. m of beds cannot be planted with more than 4-5 bushes.
Feeding the bushes with mineral complex fertilizers is carried out when the ovaries form and the berries ripen. The most commonly used are potassium nitrate and superphosphate. To prevent plants from producing too many leaves, you must strictly adhere to the schedule for using fertilizers.
If the fruits have begun to ripen, but climatic conditions are deteriorating (for example, a sharp cold snap is expected), then you can begin harvesting. For ripening, fruits must be placed in a dark pantry.
To eliminate the risk of disease development, it is recommended to treat tomatoes with drugs that destroy viruses and fungi. When garden pests appear, it is necessary to spray the leaves on the bushes with appropriate toxic substances that kill insects and their larvae.

But the Babushkino Lukoshko tomato is unlikely to be undersized. The exact height of the variety has not yet been indicated, but it is believed that it will reach 1.5 m.
The Alesi F1 tomato, which belongs to the category of hybrid crops, is also suitable for growing in a greenhouse. This variety is good for year-round cultivation indoors. Gardeners like this variety with its early fruit ripening period. Vegetables are distinguished by good transportability, dense structure and skin, which prevents tomatoes from cracking and deforming.
Varieties "Havana cigar" and "Banana red"
The low-growing Havana cigar tomato is an excellent solution for greenhouses and film shelters.
An amazing feature of the variety, according to reviews from gardeners and comments from breeders, is its high yield. From each branch of the bushes of this vegetable crop you can pick up to 30 ripe, tasty, juicy fruits. That is why the long-fruited variety is often called a real champion in terms of productivity.
Many summer residents give excellent reviews about the Red Banana tomato. According to them, bushes of this variety grow up to 120 cm in height. So the variety cannot be called undersized. However, the vegetable crop gives an excellent harvest when grown in greenhouses. The variety allows you to harvest up to 3 kg of delicious, richly colored fruits from each bush. To obtain abundant harvests of this crop, it is recommended to systematically feed the plant, provide it with optimal watering and access to a light source.
Hybrids "Granny's Pride" and "Afen"
Hybrid tomato Grandma's Pride F1 is another popular variety intended for cultivation in closed ground. An early-ripening vegetable crop usually grows up to 50-70 cm. The tomato is suitable for salad and for processing with excellent taste and yield. A tall plant should be constantly tied up and pinched. The fruit is round, moderately dense, smooth, consisting of 2-3 nests. The weight of the tomato is 90-100 g, and the taste is excellent according to tasters.
Having considered the characteristics of productive tomato varieties, you can easily choose those that are suitable specifically for your garden and perhaps they will forever remain your favorite.
Indeterminate hybrids for industrial greenhouses
F1 Alcazar
High early and overall yield, suitable for cultivation using low-volume technology and on soil. Good uniform fruit set even under unfavorable environmental conditions. Strong vegetative growth and powerful root system. Shortened internodes, inflorescence without a “crease”. A beautiful, smooth fruit, weighing 130-150 g, with high taste. Complex disease resistance.
One of the best selection tomato hybrids. It has already taken its rightful place in greenhouse complexes in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and has shown excellent results everywhere, both in early and overall harvest. In terms of early maturity and productivity, F1 Alcazar is superior to most domestic and foreign tomato hybrids. In 2006, the hybrid was grown on an area of more than 100 hectares.
The hybrid is intended for cultivation using low-volume technology, but can also be grown on soil. Mid-early hybrid (from germination to fruiting 110-115 days). It is distinguished by good fruit set both in the winter months, with insufficient light, and in the summer at high air temperatures.
Plants of the “vegetative” type of development are characterized by stable stem growth throughout the entire fruiting period and tolerate increased temperatures well in the summer. Compared to the F1 Evpator hybrid, the F1 Alcazar hybrid has a more powerful root system, as a result of which the shoot tip does not become thinner when loaded with fruits. Additional shoots are left in the leaf axil under the 5th inflorescence on every 4th plant. The leaf is large, dark green, and tolerates high air temperatures well. The internodes are shortened, which is ideal for growing the hybrid in low greenhouses, and also allows plants to be lowered less frequently.
The first inflorescence is formed after the 9th leaf, then after 3 leaves. The inflorescence is short, simple, compact, without a “crease”, with 4-6 fruits. The fruits are even, smooth, strong, weighing 160-180 g.
The hybrid is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, fusarium, and is also genetically resistant to blossom end rot and fruit cracking. Productivity in extended rotation is up to 55 kg/m2.

Variety selection: determining factors
The climate of the Urals is harsh, with a short summer season, unstable temperatures, and uneven precipitation. In summer, temperature contrasts in different parts of the region are especially noticeable, and if in the north in mid-July the average is only +8?C...+10?C, then for the Southern and Middle Urals it will be within +22?C...+24?C
But the seasons differ, and it is desirable to obtain a harvest in any year, so it is important to take into account certain requirements for tomato varieties
Let's list them:
- Early ripening. Tomatoes in the Urals must have time to form fruits before the onset of cold weather.
- Tomato resistance to infectious diseases.
- Resistant to temperature changes and short-term cold snaps.
- Stress resistance.
The best varieties are early ripening, characterized by small bush growth and adapted to temperature fluctuations. Breeders from the Siberian and Ural regions have bred many tomatoes intended for cultivation in such harsh conditions. Tomatoes bear fruit in open ground, have time to harvest and “escape” from late blight, while the variety of varieties allows you to make any choice.
The review presents tomatoes for garden beds, greenhouses, and low-growing varieties. Tomatoes with large fruits are highlighted in a separate section; mature tomatoes for the Urals, cherry varieties, as well as sweet and best-yielding ones are considered. Brief descriptions, reviews and photos will help you, and we will be glad if the information turns out to be useful.
The soil
Tomatoes prefer a sunny, draft-free area. The best predecessors for them are legumes, early white cabbage, pumpkins, zucchini, and cucumbers. You can also plant after onions and late cabbage.
You should not cultivate tomatoes in an area where potatoes, eggplants, and peppers previously grew. After all, plants are affected by the same diseases, the pathogens of which remain in the ground for several years. For this reason, it is not necessary to grow in one place for up to 4 years. Potatoes are also a bad neighbor. It can infect tomatoes with late blight. And it won’t be difficult for the Colorado potato beetle to get to them.
How to prepare the soil
It is better to prepare the soil in the fall. To do this, after harvesting, add ash, manure or compost. The earth is dug up and left in this form until spring. Over the winter it will become saturated with useful substances. 2 weeks before planting, loosen the soil with a rake and water it abundantly. You can cover it with plastic wrap - this will help warm it up faster.
If it was not possible to prepare the bed in advance, then planting tomatoes in open ground with seeds can be done in prepared holes. They are made in sod and filled with store-bought or leaf soil. If there is fertile soil under the top layer of soil, only this can be removed. To warm the soil, you can also cover the area with the holes with film.
For beds and shelters
Another important criterion is the conditions for growing tomatoes, in greenhouses or open beds. Universal varieties have been bred, and gardeners cultivate them based on their capabilities: if there is no greenhouse, they are planted in beds; if there are shelters, they are sent to protected soil.
For open ground, the best varieties of tomatoes are: Uvalen, Penguin, Azhur, Kukla, Chelnok, Peter the Great, Snow Leopard, Kibits, Raspberry Viscount.
Typically, such tomatoes are not tall, are unpretentious and yield early.
Indeterminate tomatoes, which produce large yields but require attention and care, are selected for greenhouses. It is recommended to grow them on trellises, be sure to carry out the formation of bushes and pinching
It is important to take into account the characteristics of the variety, otherwise even the most productive tomatoes will not be able to please you
Greenhouse varieties of tomatoes, reviews of which are only positive: Russian Empire, Babushkina Joy, Apple Minusinsk, Fidelio, Citrus Garden, One Hundred Poods, Buffalo Heart, Puzata Khata, Niagara.
When choosing varieties for yourself, do not forget that the yield and taste depend on care. The review presents a large number of types of tomatoes, your task is to determine which tomato seeds suit you based on various characteristics, and then to provide comfortable conditions for the plants. We believe that everything will work out for you!

Tomato varieties for greenhouses: Moscow, Leningrad region, Urals, Siberia
The success of growing tomatoes in a greenhouse depends on the successful choice of seeds. The selected varieties must be suitable for growing in a greenhouse and suitable for a specific light zone.
Today, seed manufacturers offer hundreds of varieties, and a maximum of five can be placed in a greenhouse on a summer cottage.
After reading this article, you will know how to choose varieties to grow an outstanding tomato crop.
All varieties of tomatoes for greenhouses can be divided into 2 categories: unlimited and limited growth. Tomato bushes of unlimited growth or indeterminate can grow for several years. From the axil of each leaf they grow a stepson - a new shoot on which their own stepsons are formed. The growth in height also does not stop.
As a result, tomato bushes can grow up to 7 meters high and grow up to three meters in diameter. These will no longer be bushes, but real trees. To prevent this from happening, indeterminate tomatoes are planted, cutting off excess shoots.
Indeterminate tomatoes are not suitable for climates with short summers, as they bear fruit later than determinate tomatoes.
Indeterminates are the best varieties of tomatoes for greenhouses, the basis for the harvest of protected soil. On structures stretched upward, sometimes up to the ceiling, a mass of fruits set and ripen. Among the many indeterminate varieties of tomatoes, several are popular in gardens and summer cottages.
The inexhaustible "De Barao"
A unique variety that has gained a reputation among gardeners as inexhaustible. During the process of growth, it constantly forms new clusters with fruits, reaching a height of two meters per season. The bush begins to bear fruit 110-115 days after emergence. The fruits are small, but very tasty, pickling type, dense, oval.
The peculiarity of the variety is the existence of varieties with different fruit colors. You can grow pink, red, yellow and even black De Barao. The second feature of a wonderful, but very tall tomato is the planting pattern. Seedlings in a greenhouse are planted at a distance of at least 90 cm from each other, and row spacing is made at least 120 cm.
The plant branches heavily, so it will have to be pruned twice a week, cutting off what is unnecessary. The bush is led into two stems. The only weak point of the variety is its instability to late blight, so the structure will have to be ventilated, and the plants will have to be sprayed with trichodermin between fruit harvests.
"Octopus" - tomato tree
The most productive tomato varieties for greenhouses are not actually varieties, but modern hybrids. Octopus F1 is an indeterminate hybrid that has the advantages of the latest generation of hybrids: resistant to late blight, high-yielding, transportable fruits, long-lasting, beautiful. The first and last clusters consist of berries of the same size, that is, the tomatoes do not become smaller over time.
Suitable for industrial cultivation in glass greenhouses. In home gardens, it can be used both in spring-summer and summer-autumn rotation. The fruits are oval, similar to De Barao, suitable for eating in the form of vegetable salads, rolling in jars with marinade and for pickling in barrels.
Tomato-strawberry “Mazarin”
In recent years, the top ten best large-fruited salad tomatoes for the greenhouse have included the Mazarin variety. Its fruits are shaped like strawberries, but of course they are much larger. The weight of each tomato is 400-800 grams. Sometimes Mazarin is called the Cardinal, but this is incorrect. Cardinal is an old variety, similar to Mazarin in shape, but with a less pronounced taste.
To get large fruits, leave 4 brushes on each stem, and pinch out the rest. Plants reach a height of 2 meters per season and require good agricultural technology and reliable garter.
Determinate varieties stop growing after setting a few clusters. The main advantages of plants are early harvest.
Low-growing varieties of tomatoes for greenhouses do not allow you to get the maximum yield per square meter of area, so in the southern regions there is no point in occupying a greenhouse with them, but in the more northern regions, where varieties of unlimited growth do not have time to ripen even in a greenhouse, you cannot do without determinate tomatoes.
Description of the tomato variety Talalikhin and its characteristics
In Siberian frost conditions, productively grown tomato varieties are also found. One of these is the Talalikhin 186 tomato. It has taken root well and produces crops both in the greenhouse and in the open ground. Due to its high taste, the tomato is in demand in other regions of Russia and neighboring countries. Let's look at some varieties of tomatoes popular among the population of Siberia.
Low-growing, early-ripening tomatoes grown in Siberia
Due to the climate of the region, summer residents try to grow early-ripening varieties of tomatoes in open ground. The following tomatoes are popular:
- White filling 241 (salad early mid-season).
- Buyan yellow (early salad).
- Fighter (universal early drought-resistant).
- Dubrava (variety of early ripeness).
- Lucky (harvest early lettuce).
- Red North (early ripening for canning).
- Rocket (disease-resistant early for canned whole fruits).
- Duckling (early tomato is intended for canning and salads).
- Hospitable (also early ripening with large fruits).
This is a small part of the tomatoes that were grown by breeders and hobbyists in the West Siberian region. The varieties take root and produce an excellent harvest in greenhouse conditions and open ground. Thanks to their taste, tomatoes have positive reviews from grateful summer residents. Among the huge selection, there is one excellent variety Talalikhin 186, which we will consider.
Qualities of tomato Talalikhin 186
Those who have not planted this variety do not know the description of the taste; it has a pronounced sweet tomato taste with sourness. A type of early ripening tomato variety. Fruit ripening occurs 100-120 days after planting in open ground. The fruits are flat, round, weight reaches 110 grams. Smooth surface with slightly pronounced ribs.
The fruits ripen quickly and in large quantities. Designed for preparing salads. When growing, stepsons are planted only once, while forming a bush with three stems. A positive characteristic allows us to draw conclusions about the excellent properties of maturation. Talalikhin 186 is grown not only in Siberia, but also in other more southern regions. They ripen quickly in open ground. Due to its high taste, it is popular among summer residents and gardeners.
Features of growing crops in open ground
To grow tomato varieties in an open garden bed, it is not necessary to import peat and fertilize the soil with expensive fertilizers. It needs to be fed, loosened and watered regularly. For a bountiful harvest, you need to follow simple instructions:
- preparing beds for planting;
- planting seedlings at a distance of 25-30 centimeters;
- pinching and gartering a bush;
- watering and fertilizing;
- pest control;
- harvesting.
Some tips to grow a big harvest. Tie up the bush and make sure that it does not touch the soil during growth. With prolonged contact, late blight infection will occur, which will destroy the crop. Seedlings are planted in open ground; the seeds may not take root and the crop will die. Two weeks after planting, the seedlings are covered with Agrotex. This manipulation will protect fragile plants from sultry heat and cold snap.
The tips will protect the harvest from unfavorable conditions and delicious tomatoes will decorate the table on cold autumn days.

Video: TOMATOES FOR THE LAZY! This variety does not get sick and does not require pinching or gartering.
Vulnerable to fungus, but tasty and productive tomato - Talalikhin 186: variety characteristics and description
Tomato Talalikhin 186 has won the love of many Siberians due to the fact that even in such cold latitudes it can grow and bear fruit without a greenhouse. There are some shortcomings, but they are more than compensated for by the considerable advantages of the variety.
Height | Landing location | Ripening time | Fruit color | Fruit size | Origin | Fruit shape |
short | Greenhouse, Open ground | Early ripening | Reds | Average | Variety | Flat-round |
Description and characteristics of the variety
Tomato Talalikhin 186 was created during Soviet times in Belarus and registered in 1954. It can be grown throughout the middle zone and in the south of Russia, in Siberia, the Urals, as well as in neighboring countries.
The height of the bush is 35-70 cm, the foliage is average. The leaves are slightly corrugated, of the usual type, light green. The type of inflorescence is also simple. There are 2-3 tomatoes in each cluster; in total there are 2-4 of them on the main stem. The fruits ripen 100-120 days after seed germination.
They have a flat-round shape with noticeable ribbing, red color, weight from 75 to 110 g, maximum 190 g. The stalk has a spot. Inside there are 6-13 chambers with seeds. The taste is pleasant. The fruits are used for fresh consumption, cooking, processing into pastes and juices, preservation, and pickling.
Brief description of the species
The characteristics and description of the variety of this tomato indicate that its sprouts are powerful, with good foliage running along the entire stem. This species produces inflorescences at intervals, usually every 3 leaves. The ovary on a tomato usually forms as a cluster, which can contain from 7 to 9 fruits.
This tomato variety is unpretentious and can grow in the shade, forms many ovaries, and does not depend on the vagaries of the weather. Those who have planted this variety know that it is resistant to fungal diseases. But during the growth period it requires intensive feeding containing phosphorus and potassium. Belongs to mid-early varieties. Ripe fruits should be expected 100, maximum 110 days after planting the seeds.
During fruit ripening, Colorado potato beetles can attack the bushes, but most often in southern countries. In the middle zone, problems are more common due to the white moth, sawfly, and codling moth.
Tomatoes of this variety are distinguished by their meatiness and taste characteristics. They store well, for quite a long time, and withstand transportation. Its beautiful appearance attracts housewives, which is why it is popular for canning. It has a wonderful aroma and unforgettable taste. Juices and tomato sauces of this type of tomatoes will not only be tasty, but also have a high content of vitamins and microelements, such as carotene, as well as antioxidants, such as lycopene, selenium and others.
Description and characteristics of the variety
Soviet tomato bushes are indeterminate and grow up to 2 meters. The first brush appears above the ninth leaf. The fruits ripen approximately 120 days after the seeds germinate. They are large, 300-700 g each, the so-called beefsteak type. They have a flat-round shape, with slight ribbing visible. There is a spot on the stalk. The pulp is fleshy, dense, with an excellent pronounced taste.
These tomatoes have 3.5% sugars, 1.5 mg of minerals per percent, the antioxidant lycopene, as well as magnesium, potassium and phosphorus.
Used for fresh consumption, salads, soups, processing into pastes and juices, pickling. They are not suitable for canning due to their size.
Description and characteristics of the variety
The Esmira F1 tomato was created by specialists from the Dutch company Rijkz Zwaan. This is an indeterminate hybrid with very short internodes, allowing the bush to set more clusters - up to 10-11 pieces. The height reaches 1.8 m. It branches slightly, the leaves are small, the inflorescences are intermediate. One brush produces 4-6 tomatoes. They ripen 90-100 days after the seeds sprout.
The fruits are large on the lower clusters (300-350 g each), on the middle and upper clusters - 190-220 g each. There is slight ribbing, a ripe tomato is pink in color, round, slightly flattened. The pulp is dense and fleshy, there are few seeds in it.
There is no point in collecting seeds; in hybrids they do not retain varietal properties, so you need to buy them from the manufacturer.
The hybrid is considered a salad variety, but smaller fruits can be canned, the rest can be used to prepare various dishes, salted, and processed into pastes.

Description of fruits
Traditionally, the tastiest tomatoes are those that take a long time to ripen. This does not apply to the Admiralteysky variety. These tomatoes have a rich, very pleasant taste. Their sweet and sour pulp is dense and juicy, as can be seen in the photograph. The fruits weigh on average from 200 to 210 grams, which corresponds to the characteristics.
When ripe, the skin of these tomatoes turns bright red. They are spherical in shape, slightly flattened, with barely noticeable ribbing. The peel is dense, which allows the fruits to be transported over long distances and stored fresh for a long time without refrigeration, which is confirmed by reviews from gardeners.
Admiralteysky tomatoes are equally tasty fresh and canned. They look delicious in the photo too. They make excellent ketchups and all kinds of dressings.
Rules of care
It is regularly recommended to loosen the soil and remove weeds. Watering should be done abundantly - about once a week. If you frequently over-moisten the soil, the root system may begin to rot.
During the entire summer season, plants should be fed with organic and mineral supplements 3 times. The first time this is done before planting in a permanent place, then fertilizing is applied during flowering, and the third time - during the fruiting period.
If tomatoes are grown in greenhouses, the structures should be constantly ventilated. To prevent the occurrence of diseases, bushes must be sprayed with insecticides.
