In terms of ripening time, the new product is considered to be very early, from germination to ripening 82-88 days.
Fruit ripening is consistent. The purpose is universal. The variety is extremely unpretentious and hardy. He has excellent natural immunity. It is a hybrid of the Lyana variety. The tomato variety belongs to the bushes of the determinate type. Beautiful, compact bushes 50-60 centimeters high; if the soil contains a large amount of humus, they will grow to 70 centimeters. The plant does not need pinching, but the bush can be tied up. Tomato type leaf, medium size. The brushes are compact. The fruits are medium-sized, even, their weight is from 80 to 100 grams.

How to grow seedlings

Tomatoes are sometimes grown by direct sowing into the ground, but a better solution for most regions of the country is the seedling method.

Seed preparation

The seeds remain viable for several years, but stronger seedlings are obtained from fresh specimens . Before planting, the material is inspected and small and damaged grains are discarded. For better germination, seeds are soaked for 8–15 hours in Energen solution (15 drops per 50 ml of water).

Then immerse for 30 minutes in a strong solution of potassium permanganate for disinfection. Afterwards they are washed and placed in the refrigerator for hardening for 1 day.

Container and soil

For seedlings, various containers are used: special trays with cups purchased in the store, disposable plastic cups, milk cartons. The most important thing is a sufficient volume of soil for the development of roots and drainage holes to drain excess moisture.

You can buy special soil for tomatoes in the store or prepare it yourself from:

  • garden or turf land - 50%;
  • humus - 25%;
  • sand - 25%.

The mixture is thoroughly mixed, 0.5 liters of ash are added.

Any soil is disinfected by heating it in the oven at +100 °C (30 minutes) or steaming it in a colander over boiling water (20 minutes).

Sowing

Optimal sowing time for seedlings: March 20 - April 10. Planting is carried out in one common tray.

The seeds are laid out at a depth of 0.5–1 cm, at a sufficient distance from each other. The top is covered with glass or plastic film. The container itself is placed in a warm, bright place.

Growing and care

The first shoots appear after 4–6 days. The film is immediately removed, and the air temperature is lowered so that the seedlings do not stretch. When true leaves appear, the plants are planted in separate cups. Caring for seedlings comes down to regular watering and fertilizing once every 2 weeks with mineral fertilizers.

1-2 weeks before planting the bushes in the ground, they begin to harden them to increase adaptation to new conditions. The seedlings are taken out onto the balcony or into the greenhouse, first for several hours, gradually increasing the time to the whole day.

Reference ! The ready-to-plant crop has dark green foliage and purple stem bottoms.

Characteristics

  • Tomatoes of the “Lyana Rozovaya” variety are very beautiful, pale pink.
  • Classic tomato shape.
  • Pink tomatoes have a good taste. Dense, meaty, sweet.
  • There are 4-6 seed chambers, but they are not clearly defined, the number of seeds is small.
  • The fruits do not crack, are perfectly stored, and tolerate transportation well.
  • The taste qualities of ground fruits are much higher than those of greenhouse fruits.
  • Tomatoes are suitable for whole-fruit canning and all kinds of preparations.
  • The juice contains at least 5% dry matter, and sugar - up to 6%.

Since the variety is characterized by early ripening, it is in high demand among buyers. Productivity is good.

Advantages and disadvantages of the variety

Among the positive qualities of the Lyana tomato are:

  • unpretentiousness when growing;
  • excellent taste characteristics;
  • high productivity;
  • early appearance of fruits and a long period of fruiting - right up to the first frost;
  • good resistance to most common tomato diseases.

Some features of the variety, in order to obtain maximum yield, should still be taken into account by every gardener when growing. Don't forget that:

  • This type of tomato is heat-loving, so harsh climate conditions are completely unsuitable for it;
  • The bush requires constant and regular pinching. Only if this condition is met can you get a rich harvest of tomatoes.

Judging by the reviews of most gardeners, the Lyana tomato is not only a high-yielding variety, but also a fairly shelf-stable variety. During long-term storage, ripe fruits do not lose their presentation and tolerate transportation well even over long distances.

Abundant leaf cover requires regular removal of not only foliage, but also side shoots. All these inconveniences for the vegetable grower are fully compensated by the rich harvest.

Features of cultivation

Plants need to be planted as early as possible, 4-6 bushes per square meter. Early planting will speed up the ripening of early tomatoes. To protect plants from bad weather and possible frosts, you need to use portable arc wire shelters. They are comfortable and reliable.

Caring for tomatoes is a universal type for all tomatoes. When growing tomatoes, crop rotation is necessary. There is no need to grow potatoes, peppers, or eggplants in beds. Excellent predecessors are pumpkin and legumes.

Further care of the crop

Agrotechnical care measures are traditional: watering, fertilizing, weed removal.

Features of watering

The soil is kept moist, but not wet, as excessive moisture creates the preconditions for disease. Watering is carried out with warm water. It is necessary to moisten the entire area to the width and depth of the root system, without exposing the roots.

You need to water as the soil dries out, depending on the weather, 1-2 times a week.

Fertilizers

The soil is well-dressed before planting, then during the growing season you will only need a couple of fertilizings. For the first feeding, a solution of mullein or vermicompost is more suitable, for the second - a complex of mineral fertilizers with a predominance of phosphorus and potassium. Apply fertilizers during watering

Bush formation

Liana grows poorly in open ground and does not need to be formed. If the area is over-dressed, and the weather is warm and humid, the green mass grows quickly, then the stepsons have to be partially removed. 2-3 stems are left in protected ground and attached to a support. To prevent thickening of plantings and speed up ripening, some shoots and leaves have to be removed.

Diseases and pests

These tomatoes are disease resistant. The Colorado potato beetle poses a danger to young tomatoes. If it appears, the tomato must be treated with an insecticide. If there are few fruits and there is plenty of free time, you can avoid using chemicals and grow an environmentally friendly product by collecting pests and their larvae by hand. If you don’t have enough time for gardening work, and you need to grow as many tomatoes as possible, an unpretentious and high-yielding variety will help you out.

The nuances of growing in open ground and greenhouses

The variety grows equally well both in open and closed ground. If tomatoes are planted in a greenhouse from May 5–10 (depending on weather conditions), then in open ground - at the end of May - beginning of June, when the danger of return frosts has passed.

In the beds, the height of the plants is slightly lower than in the greenhouse (40–45 cm versus 60 cm or more).

The variety grows to a certain height, and the upper shoot ends in a brush. By leaving a lateral shoot at the top of the plant, you can ensure that the tomato continues to grow. This is done when growing crops indoors.

Landing

In the characteristics of the Rozovaya Lyana tomato, it was already said that the variety is early ripening, which means that seeds for seedlings do not need to be sown too early, so that the bushes do not start to grow tomatoes even before transplanting into the ground. Seedlings are planted in the garden at the age of 45-50 days, when the threat of frost has passed. They can be planted under film cover when the ground warms up by at least 14 degrees.

The variety itself is considered quite unpretentious, which means growing seedlings does not cause any trouble. In any case, seed preparation will not be superfluous. Seed calibration will ensure uniform germination, and seed disinfection will help protect mature plants from diseases.

If the soil is prepared independently, then it also needs to be disinfected (watered with a weak solution of manganese). The purchased nutritional mixture is already ready for use. Pink Lyana loves loose soil, so it is better to make a mixture of peat and humus with turf soil and wood ash.
