Planting and care
Seeds for seedlings are sown around mid-March, and if planting in open ground is planned, then a little later. The soil should include ordinary soil, peat, wood ash and a little superphosphate. Self-prepared soil is spilled with potassium permanganate or fried in an oven. The seeds are soaked for half a day in a solution of a growth simulator.
After germination, seedlings need good lighting, and if there is not enough sun, then additional lamps are installed.
Before planting in holes, the soil is loosened and lightly fertilized with superphosphate or wood ash. The distance between bushes should be at least 60 cm.

Varieties of yellow tomatoes for the regions of Siberia and the Urals
Breeders have developed yellow-fruited hybrid forms, tomato varieties for areas with short summers and early onset of cold weather. In such regions, cherry tomatoes, as well as early varieties, grow well in shelters.
Ildi
In the harsh conditions of these regions, the Ildi tomato produces excellent yields. Large clusters with many small bright yellow fruits form on the bush.
They are small in weight, only 15-20 grams. But they have a sweet, unsurpassed taste. Good for cutting salads, suitable for whole preparations (pickles, marinades).
The bushes are powerful and require freedom in the greenhouse. Molding is most often made into 2 stems. The fruits begin to ripen early, while fruiting is extended until autumn.
Firebird
On the low bushes of this tomato variety, bright, yellow-orange fruits are formed. Weight is 150 grams each, the taste is good for a hybrid. There is an increased content of beta-carotene.
It takes about 100-105 days from the moment the seeds germinate before the first fruits are harvested. In regions with a short summer period, tomatoes are grown only in shelter.

Amber Cup
The agro variety called Amber Cup shows good results. This is an option for beginning gardeners, since the tomato is unpretentious and resistant to almost all diseases.
The bushes grow up to 1-1.5 meters and require shaping and removal of branches (pinching). Small size and convenient oval shape allow you to use tomatoes for canning.
On a note!
This variety is suitable for storage for up to 2-3 months.
Golden eggs
The bushes of this interesting tomato grow only up to half a meter. Its fruits are oval, egg-shaped, and bright yellow in color. The weight does not exceed 180-200 grams, although the exact parameters depend on care and weather.
Tomatoes are dense, thin-skinned, and sweet. Inside there are up to 8-10 nests. Up to 1.5-12 kg of tomatoes are harvested from one small bush. The variety was bred by Siberian breeders and is characterized by cold resistance and early harvesting.
Yellow tomatoes have a special taste and high sweetness. But the properties inherent at the genetic level show themselves only if the plants are properly cared for and the recommendations of agronomists are followed.
Features of cultivation
Like other mid-early varieties, Yellow Shar is planted as seedlings in the first half of March. Plants love light and fertile soil made from a mixture of garden soil and peat. Potassium fertilizers, superphosphate and wood ash are added to the soil mixture. For safety, the soil can be calcined or treated with an aqueous solution of potassium permanganate. For better hatching, the seeds are soaked in a growth stimulator for 12 hours.
After unfolding 1 or 2 true leaves, the seedlings are planted in separate pots. For successful development, young plants require moderate watering and bright sunlight . In cloudy weather, seedlings are illuminated with electric lamps. After picking, fertilizing with complex or mineral fertilizer is recommended. Another fertilizing is carried out before planting in the ground.
Before planting, the soil is loosened well, superphosphate and wood ash (no more than 1 tablespoon) are placed in each hole. Tall and powerful bushes are planted without thickening, at a distance of about 60 cm from each other. The planted seedlings are immediately tied to the supports. The soil between the bushes is mulched with peat, humus or straw.
Watering is moderate, with warm, settled water. During the season, you need to feed the plants with an aqueous solution of complex mineral fertilizers or ammonium nitrate diluted in water. Adult plants are pinched, removing all side shoots and lower leaves on the stem.
Growing seedlings in your own backyard
Tomato seeds are treated with hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes. Then they are placed in special soil for tomatoes to a depth of 20 mm. Water the seeds with warm water. After the first shoots appear, they are fed with organic fertilizers. Boxes with seedlings are transferred to a lighted place or electric lamps are used. The length of the day for sprouts should not be less than 14 hours.
After the seedlings develop 1-2 leaves, the plants are pricked. To form a powerful root system, each sprout is transferred to a peat pot with a diameter of 8-10 cm.
Before transferring the seedlings to a permanent place, the seedlings are hardened off for 10 days. The bushes are transferred to the beds only when they are 55-60 days old.
Plants are formed into 2 stems. Before planting seedlings in the beds, the soil is loosened, wood ash and complex fertilizers are introduced into it. As the bushes grow, all side shoots are removed from them. Planting pattern – 0.5x0.5 m.
Diseases and pests
The variety is susceptible to some typical nightshade diseases , such as fusarium wilt and mosaic. For prevention, it is recommended to calcinate the soil or spill it with an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide.
It is advisable to plant tomatoes in beds where legumes, carrots, cabbage or herbs grew. It is not recommended to plant seedlings on soils that were occupied by peppers, eggplants or potatoes.
Plants planted in the ground should be regularly sprayed with copper-containing preparations that effectively resist viruses and fungi. Treatment with a pale pink solution of potassium permanganate is also possible. Affected leaves should be immediately torn off and burned.

Tomatoes can be protected from pests by mulching the soil and regularly inspecting the plantings. Colorado beetles and slugs are removed by hand; washing the stems and leaves with an aqueous solution of laundry soap will help get rid of aphids.
“Yellow Ball” is an interesting and easy-to-care variety that can be grown by both experienced and novice gardeners. The most important thing is to protect plants from diseases and remove side shoots in a timely manner. The reward for your efforts will be an excellent harvest.
