The Pascal tomato from Picardy is especially noteworthy. What kind of variety is this, where did it come from and what distinctive features does it have, we will consider below.
Description of the tomato variety
In the original, this variety sounds like Pascal de Picardie. It looks like a rare and tall bush and belongs to the mid-season varieties of tomatoes. If you grow it in the middle zone, it is better to do it in a greenhouse, since the Pascal tomato from Picardy, which we describe here, does not like cool weather and needs certain conditions. The structure of the bush is thin; if grown in greenhouse conditions, its height can grow to almost two meters. The leaves are long in shape and slightly drooping. It has brushes with up to five ovaries. A bush of this variety needs to be tied to a support and pinched. The best results, as a rule, were obtained when the plant was formed with two or three stems.

Collectors of unusual tomatoes could not pass up the amazing Pascal variety from Picardy. Its original name is Pascal de Picardie. The variety is new, was bred in the USA and was originally called Crazy Horse Antho Paste, or simply Crazy Horse. In 2017, it was decided to rename the species in honor of Pascal Antigni, who is the head of the International Tomatophilia Association. This tomato is not included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of Russia, so there is little information about it, and it is impossible to find seeds for sale. Seed material is shared among amateurs. According to reviews, the crop develops well and bears fruit in protected and open ground. Our hero is not a hybrid.
Description
The plant is indeterminate, tall, not too dense, and has a thin structure. In a greenhouse it grows from 1.7 to 2.2 meters. The leaves are long, alternate, of the usual type, drooping, but firmly attached to the stem. The inflorescence is intermediate. The fruit cluster of Pascal from Picardy can have from 5 to 7 ovaries. Pedicel with articulation.
The fruits of this variety are beautiful both in shape and color. The shape is elongated plum-shaped or cylindrical, the top is crowned with a neat spout. Unripe fruits are green in color, with a large dark purple spot that begins near the stalk, and on some tomatoes goes down almost to the top. As it ripens, which starts from the top, the tomato turns red; a fully ripened fruit has a dark red color, with anthocyanin shoulders. The skin is not thick, glossy, which is why the fruits seem varnished. The pulp is dark crimson, fleshy, marmalade consistency, juicy. The seed chambers are small, there are few seeds. Many tomato growers note the excellent taste of our hero; sweetness predominates in the taste. The tomatoes are small in size, with an average weight of 100 grams. The smallest ones weigh about 60 grams, and the largest ones - 130 grams. When rationing the brush, the mass of the tomato increases to 200 grams.
