Description and characteristics of the variety
Arsenal pepper is an early ripening variety; ripening begins in the mid-early period.
The fruits are harvested after 110-114 days.
Sweet pepper Arsenal has the following distinctive features:
- semi-spreading medium-sized bushes;

- fruits are glossy, red in the phase of full ripeness;

- the wall is strong, of medium thickness (5.2-5.5 mm);

A large-fruited, early-ripening (up to 80 days) hybrid of Dutch origin, which rarely gets sick and is not afraid of low temperatures. The bush is tall, medium branched. Productivity is about 11 kg/m². It is grown in all conditions in all regions, it is resistant to potato and tobacco mosaic virus.
The peppers are thick-walled and prism-shaped, weighing from 120 to 250 grams. The color of the fruit when fully ripe is rich red. The taste is assessed as very good, there is no bitterness, there is a bright, fresh pepper aroma. The pulp is dense, of a pleasant consistency, the skin is thin and very tender.
Fakir
A variety that ripens early (90–110 days), it can be grown in open and protected ground conditions. The bush is slightly taller than half a meter, standard, medium branched and medium leafy. Disease resistance is excellent. The peppers are smooth, cone-shaped (elongated), uniform, red, thick-walled, weighing 50–200 grams. The taste is sweet, Fakir is very prolific.
Prince Silver
Mid-early (100–120 days), highly productive variety of sweet pepper for cultivation in unprotected soil in all regions. Resistance to negative factors affecting culture is excellent. The bush is about 75 cm in height, medium dense. The peppers are smooth or slightly ribbed, cone-shaped, bright red. The taste is very good, sweet, rich. The weight of the fruit is from 100 to 200 grams, the wall thickness is about 7 mm.
Hercules
An early ripening (100–110 days) variety of Russian selection, it can be grown in all regions in greenhouses and in open ground. Resistance to unfavorable conditions for the crop is good; problems during cultivation are extremely rare. The variety is not afraid of Fusarium. The bush is no higher than 60 cm, semi-spreading, very neat, the leaves are slightly wrinkled.
The peppers are thick-walled, red, smooth, cube-shaped, up to 12 cm in length, the diameter of the fruit is about 11 cm, and the weight is 150–220 grams. The pulp is pleasant, sweet, without bitterness, the aroma is very rich. The maximum yield from one bush is about 3 kg.
Arsenal
A variety with a medium ripening period (125–130 days), intended for cultivation under film covers and in open ground. Arsenal is not afraid of most common diseases and develops well even in cool regions. Bush up to 80 cm in height, weakly branched, semi-spreading.
Peppers are cone-shaped, smooth, red, from 120 to 150 grams. The walls are no thicker than 6 mm, the flesh is dense, sweet, no bitterness, the aroma is pleasant and unobtrusive. With proper care, one bush can produce up to 2 kg of harvest.
ox ear
Another very good variety with a medium ripening period (120–125 days). The plant is tall, up to 90 cm, medium branched. The ox's ear has good immunity to all negative factors. The fruits have a shelf life. Red peppers, elongated-cone-shaped, weighing from 150 to 220 grams. The walls are about 6 mm, the flesh is very tasty, juicy and aromatic. The yield from 1 m² is about 3 kg.
Gift from Moldova
A very old Moldovan variety, it was brought to Russia back in 1973. Pepper has a medium ripening period (115–130 days), is resistant to many diseases, and can be grown in open and closed ground. Immunity to adverse weather conditions and diseases is at a high level, this is especially noticeable when the main rules of agricultural technology are observed.
The bush is no higher than half a meter, standard. The shape of the fruit is cone-shaped, the wall thickness is about 8 mm. The taste and commercial qualities of red peppers are excellent. The variety is very popular in our country, it is easy to grow, and it also produces large yields - up to 5 kg/m².
Poltavsky
A common, productive variety with an average ripening period (100–120 days), it is cold-resistant, the fruits are storable, and can easily be transported. Peppers are actively formed throughout the growing season. Immunity to all negative factors is good.
Plant up to 70 cm in height, medium-leafed, compact. Peppers are cone-shaped, slightly ribbed, red, weighing up to 100 grams. The wall thickness is about 7 mm, the skin is dense, the flesh is juicy.
Lumina
The name of this variety is not familiar to everyone, however, everyone knows its taste. This is the same pepper that is one of the first to appear in the spring on the benches of markets and grocery stores. The variety is early ripening (100–110 days), productive, resistant to diseases, pests and is not particularly afraid of weather surprises. The fruits have a shelf life and are transportable.
The bush is medium-sized, semi-spreading. The peppers are cone-shaped, from golden yellow to red. The weight of the fruit is 100–120 grams, the walls are about 5 mm. Some gardeners describe the taste as neutral, the flesh is juicy and tender, moderately sweet, there is no bitterness.
Orange miracle
Dutch variety of early ripening (95–110 days), recommended for cultivation in open and closed ground. The plant is up to a meter in height, branched, requires support. Immunity to negative weather factors and diseases is good. The fruits retain their marketable appearance for a long time and are suitable for long-term storage and long-distance transportation.
Peppers are cube-shaped, smooth, thick-walled orange, weighing from 200 to 300 grams. The taste is very good, rich peppery, sweet, the flesh is juicy. One bush bears up to 12 fruits; up to 14 kg of crop can be harvested from one m².
California miracle

An early-ripening, high-yielding, very common variety for growing under film cover and in open ground. The bush is semi-spreading, medium-sized, about 4 fruits are set on the plant at a time. Resistance to the most common diseases is high, especially to the tobacco mosaic virus.
The fruits are prism-shaped, red, up to 200 grams. The walls are about 7 mm, the flesh is juicy, sweet without bitterness. The skin does not crack, which means the peppers are well stored; the variety is often grown for sale.
Marinka's tongue
Another very attractive mid-season (120–130 days) variety of sweet pepper comes from Ukraine. It is very resistant to adverse weather conditions and is rarely affected by viruses or fungi - a godsend for growing in unprotected soil. The bush is medium-sized, it bears up to 15 fruits. The ripening period is average.
The variety got its name for a reason; red peppers are shaped like a tongue. The wall thickness is up to 12 mm, the flesh is juicy, dense, sweet and aromatic. The average fruit weight is 250 grams. From 1 m² you can harvest about 5 kg of crop.
Rules for choosing a place and time of boarding
Pepper of mid-season varieties in the southern regions and middle zone gives good yields in open ground, but closer to the north it must be grown either in closed high beds or in greenhouses.
The choice of variety also matters. Most often, the packaging contains information about recommended growing methods. There are seeds intended exclusively for open ground, some only for greenhouses, and there are universal ones that can be grown with equal success both there and there.
